After 6 months, the door handle just shattered. Had one yr. warranty, but GE said it was cosmetic, and would charge me $250 to replace door. It only cost $160. After 13 months, the control panel started operating on it's on. It cost $170 to replace that part. Of course, after the 12 mo. warranty expired. I could go on with other problems, but you get the point. STAY AWAY FROM GE PRODUCTS.

I would think twice about buying this microwave. I went for it because of the GE brand and price. It is six months old and now starts running when you open the door. It is still under the 12 month GE warrantee and they are sending someone out it 4 days to look at it. They said they would either replace it or fix it, we'll see. If I had to guess they will fix it and then the problem will resurface after the warrantee expires. :(

Product heated only internittently starting on the 2nd day. Service was scheduled for one week later. One week later service verified it didn't work, but didn't have part so he rescheduled for the next week. Part never arrived so they canceled me amd stated to call them when the part finally arrived. Hopefully it's not too late to return it to Best buy for full refund.

Looks great in my kitchen, easy to use...still learning all the shortcuts.

This purchase was a surprise for my wife and she loves it. The microwave is very simple to use, even my eight year old can cook anything he wants to in it. The unit is lightweight and easy to install. It is large enough that it will of course require 2 people to install. We are very happy with the purchase.

This is a very good unit for the price point. I would recommend having it professionally installed.

We have had this microwave for 2.5 years. Came home today and the key pad has shorted out and needs service. Parts and $69.99 visit alone is more than the unit and this is before we pay labor. My father worked for GE for 37 years and we have been loyal to the brand. No More! I will take my chances on another brand.

The install was a little more difficult since we had to drill through a tile backsplash. Besides that factor installation was a breeze. Every aspect works fine but the exhaust fan is a little on the loud side. We are hoping that it will go down with some use...

We purchased this microwave as a replacement to one that we had for many years. It cooks evenly, matches our white appliances wonderfully and was easy to hook up. We are very happy with the price we paid and the outcome of our purchase :).

Only 1 year warranty. Manufacturer offered no assistance in repair or replace and not cost effective to repair. Sad that manufacturers are not required to provide better warranties for their products. Spent about $250 for it 2 years ago, now faced with spending another $250-$300. It won't be a GE product in any form!

A $400 microwave should last more then a year. The unit blew my circuit breaker. After I reset the breaker the unit would not turn on. This unit was used to reheat on rare ocassions. I probably got 24 hours of use out of it and now GE wants to charge $100 to have some one come out and look at it.

After 13 months, right outside of the 12 month warranty the keypad quit working, rendering the microwave competely useless. GE's solution was to call a repairman to fix the keypad. The keypad costs as much as the microwave, none of it was worth the money. It is now a dry storage box.

I read the reviews and they were not glowing, so I though nah, I used GE all my life, my mom and dad used GE.. so this cant be that bad? WELL GUESS WHAT ? Its been less than 2 months and the outside plastic is still on it and it STOPPED working when I went to reheat a plate of Easter Dinner and nothing. Mind you I live a lone since my only teen went off to college last year. I must say this is not a good product. From all I read before I bougth I should have listened..!! UGH.. please tread lightly.. GOOD LUCK if you choose to order it.. Yeah its has loud noises to run yeah the door is wonky but it was a good price and its just me using it.. still only lasted 2 months UGH

This micorwave broke 6 days after I had it installed. Infact, it stopped running Christmas afternoon when we were preparing our feast! Ge came out within a week to fix it, only to find one day later the unit is running extremly loud. Looks like we have to call GE once again!

Just over one year old, and it stopped heating. Spent $91 on a service call to find out it would cost about $200 to fix. Junk all the way. Stay away from GE products; it is definately my last.

Our GE SpaceSaver Microwave was designed so you have to call a repairman to change the bulbs. The covers open away from you, the bulbs are screwed in backwards and they are sealed in, hence the instructions, "break the seal and gently turn the bulb" mean, break the bulb, spend an hour trying to remove the base, go blind trying to see what you are doing while leaning backwards over the regular oven, then call the repairman, wait 2 weeks for the bulbs to come in, wait an extra 4 hours for the repairman to arrive and then pay them $145! Guess what brand of any appliance is no longer in my consideration set?

You must order the charcoal filter from someone since it is not included. Only used if you vent back into the kitchen.
