This air purifier does the job in filtering out particles and the UV feature also kills microscopic bacteria as well. It's rather stylish and fits in well with our bedroom decor. Three fan settings let you choose how much air you want to move through the filter and it's fairly quiet on the low and middle settings. I would recommend this for general home air purification uses.

Bought this product to reduce my congestion in the morning. It works great. I feel like my allergies have been reduced and the air seems fresher.

I'm very happy with my GermGardian Air Purifier. Since I started using it, I'm feeling much better in the morning. I do have slight allergies; and this Air Purifier definitely has helped in that regard; whereas, I've noticed that my nose is no longer stuffy and my eyes don't look so puffy in the morning. For an extra bonus, the blue light is great; sort of acts as a nightlight. This unit is also light, sleek looking and does not take up a lot of space.

I purchased this purifier because our room would smell like cigarettes because of our down stairs neighbor. I turn it on every night and now with our baby due next month it will definitly be on 24/7 but it gets the job done within minutes !

I bought this air purifier because my daughter-in-law has mild allergies to our dogs. She noticed a significant difference in her allergies the first time we used it. I have since bought another one. She has bought one for her parents.

I purchased this about 4 months ago, and I have to say, it has changed my life! I have two large dogs and allergies. Though my dogs don't shed much, they still have dander and they used to send me into middle of the night asthmatic fits. I wasn't sleeping a full night through without a double dose of allergy medicine and an inhaler (and even then it was iffy)...Until I got the GermGuardian. Upon first use there was a little of that "new plastic smell," but it went away after about 36 hours of continuously running it. The first night I used it, I took my allergy medicine, but did not have to use the inhaler. Did not wake up once! The second week after using it, I noticed that there was less dust in our bedroom, and I had been able to take my allergy medicine less and less (now maybe once a week if that). In fact, I haven't touched my inhaler in over two months! I am going to buy a second (larger unit) for our upstairs living area. I take the smaller one upstairs while I'm cooking if I am making something that is really smelly (like fried fish or bacon) and run it while I cook. It really helps to minimize the amount of lingering odors. It would be nice to not have to move it around all the time! The best part though...In this yucky cold and flu season, I am pretty sure the GermGuardian kept me from getting full-blown sick! I started to feel a sore throat and stuffy, but it never broke out into a full cold. I have recommended this item to four people who ordered it, and all of them said that they are noticing a huge difference in the air quality in their home. ***ONE THING TO NOTE*** You have to rinse the thinner filter off about every two weeks (and be careful, it can tear easily). I don't recommend vacuuming it (I tore it up, and it didn't seem to get all the crud out). I usually just rinse it out in the tub with cool water and let it air dry for about 5-10 minutes. It will help prolong the Hepa filter in it.

Awesome purifier you dnt need those 200$-300$ this one works great my apartment should smelling so fresh after 10 mins you can tell a huge differences in smell staying in the room or going outside then coming in. Cleans air fast, smells good, light weight, haven't had any problems or dis likes bout it.

This is a good multi-purpose, compact air purifier for a single room. Its fan is quiet enough on low to use in a bedroom while sleeping. It is very simple to use with a manual knob fan control and push button UV light optio

We had a rental unit that had both water damage and a rodent issue. The air was so foul, the plumber refused to enter the premises. After removing the carpet the odor still lingered. Setting this unit in the apartment cleared the air in about 24 hours! We were so impressed we bought another.

I bought two of these, one for living room and one for bedroom. You could smell the freshness in both rooms within a few hours. There was an odor for the first few days, maybe carbon? But it went away. I believe running these has made a difference with my daughters asthma when she visits.

I did not know what to expect. I am glad I choose this purifier it is quite and the air seems to be cleaner. It helps with the dust since I live in an apartment. I am very pleased and the price was great. It is also energy efficient.

It's literally my bedroom buddy. It's the perfect size and really cleans the air! I wish the filters didn't cost so much though.

My air filter is compact, quiet and does an excellent job of keeping the air fresh and clean! I have a cat so this was a plus!

I was initially skeptical about this product. I needed something that could get rid of the pollen and clean out the air in my room. My brother and I have allergies and this air purifier help clean the air from pollen and dust. On days that the pollen level are high I would start this on and close my door and suffer the majority of day doing my chores with a runny nose. When comes time to lay down and relax in my room my sinus clears up. There is 3 mode for this product and yes there is a humming sound. It's not that loud on the first notch but when comes the 2nd and 3rd it is obnoxiously loud but I can sleep soundly on the first notch. The downside to this product and maybe it's just me cause my brother doesn't suffer from it but it dries my nose and throat to the point it's unbearable. I have to shut the machine off before sleeping in order to feel comfortable. My solution for the dryness is to add a humidifier to it to keep the moister in the air.

All I can say is: it works! What a blessing for my newborn and she loves the white noise too. Note: you probably won't need it in the winter time, but it does blow out cold air which was even better for us. No fan needed in our room. Worked a dual function. Amazing product! :)

I've had my purifier for a few weeks now, and it's made a huge, positive impact on my ability to breathe easily. I have severe allergies (dust mites, etc.) as well as sensitivity to strong odors, both of which are alleviated by this device. Moreover, as a student living in rental apartments, I find the device's mobility and ease-of-cleaning particularly advantageous. I've already been recommending it to family and friends.

I am currently living in a house that is going through a big remodel and started getting an itchy throat from all the fumes and dust in our bedroom. I had this running for 72 hours straight and on the first night I could not believe how much better the air quality was and woke up without an itchy throat and bloody boogies for the first time in awhile. By the 3rd night I finally checked the filter and could not believe how much dust and other stuff it picked up. At this rate Ill have to change the filter every month. I love this thing and keep it on everyday when I am not home.

I recently purchased the new air purifier for my mother as a birthday gift. Since she is a person that suffers with sinus trouble, it’s a great help to her. Also, it makes the air smell much cleaner, and it’s easy to move from room to room. It also eliminates the odor from the bathroom, the kitchen garbage can, and the odor from cooking food. You can really tell the difference in the air in the room, it smells much fresher. It's just what my mother needed, and she is very satisfied with her new air purifier. I like it so much, that I'm planning to buy another one for myself.

It works really well. We use this one in our living room and a smaller one in our bedroom. After less than a month of use I opened the filter and found a ton of dust so I know its cleaning the air pretty well.
