go to youtube and do some research on what exactly it does. it does a great job of doing what it promises it will do.

We've really enjoyed watching stuff online on the TV. Chromecast works much faster and better than other TV devices we've bought and returned. We did have to get a new router to make it work, and our old one was just a few years old. Also, the only web browser it works with is Chrome, which is fine, but I'd be happier if it also worked with Safari. But overall it was a fun, good purchase at a very reasonable price.

this is actually the second chromecast I bought! I use plex for my media and I believe that I get better quality with chromecast than the app built into my tv. I can hands down say it works better than the YouTube app built into my tv. so many uses to list. if your on the fence about getting one... do it, at $30 you can't lose!

The chromecast is very easy to setup and to use. With more and more apps letting you cast to makes this device worth every penny.

Chromecast never disappoit! It functions as the spec and so easy to use. I get rid of all hdmi cable to mioor my mac and iphone!

Chromecast is an awesome utility device. It turned my 6 year old LCD tv into a smart tv. I can just stream YouTube, Netflix, Amazon videos from my phone directly to my TV without needing a laptop. Use this product almost daily. I don't have cable so all the TV I watch is with this Chromecast device.

The Chromecast works flawlessly. Once you hand off the video to Chromecast, you can use your casting device without worry that you will impact the stream, unlike airplaying from an ipad to an AppleTV. And this can be hooked up to a receiver, unlike the 4K version which need to go directly into the TV. Highly recommended.

I bought this product for my dad and it was easy for him to set up. The connection was fine but sometimes undetectable or confused with other devices in house.
