Great Gadget
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I use it on a Sony XBR6 TV in the family room and cast to it from a Mac Pro in my den about 80 feet away. Now I can watch streaming video and home movies etc opened in Chrome without the use of cables. This works so well that I am going to buy a second one to use with another Sony TV in my den. I had previously tried a ScreenBeamMini2 but it did mot work with any of my PCs or Macs due to incompatible Video hardware. It only worked with my Wife's Nook Galaxy.

Love watching YouTube on my TV

Super substitute for a cable box

Since he isn't home that often, we didn't see the point of having a Directv box in his room. It works great for streaming from the DirecTV app, YouTube and many other sources. I feel it can't be beat for the price.

Good streaming device

Interfaces well with my iPhone to play programs from apps, with some occasional minor glitches. Unfortunately, not all apps interface with the chromecast, but more appear to be adding it with time. If you are an Amazon Prime member, the fire stick may be a better choice, as it interfaces directly with Amazon's Videos.
