We bought this for my son's room, who is away at college. Since he isn't home that often, we didn't see the point of having a Directv box in his room. It works great for streaming from the DirecTV app, YouTube and many other sources. I feel it can't be beat for the price.

Picture quality is good and set up is easy. Interfaces well with my iPhone to play programs from apps, with some occasional minor glitches. Unfortunately, not all apps interface with the chromecast, but more appear to be adding it with time. If you are an Amazon Prime member, the fire stick may be a better choice, as it interfaces directly with Amazon's Videos.

Easy to set up and use. Just connect to your TV's HDMI interface and your home Wi-Fi network to get started.

Great product at an excellent price. Useful to have one if you want to stream music or videos from your phone on you television from your Android phone.

Works real well. Love being able to cast shows directly from my phone. Another step to getting rid of cable.

The Chromecast does a great job of streaming movies and music from my iPad and iPhone through my music system

Second generation is a lot smoother and by far the easiest way to cast from a phone or a tablet.

I needed to be able to watch Netflix and I needed to be able to cast my tablet to my big screen tv. I bought the chrome cast and it works great for all my needs. It was easy peasy to set up. I already had a fire stix, but the chrome cast is a much better and much easier gadget to use and set up.

this thing is a life saver. I stream everything through this! gave up paying the ridiculous amount for cable.

Chromecast is sleek, easy to put on the any hdmi tv and affordable! Great screen casting movies and shows from any apps that support the chrome. Fun for all, just be careful not to press the cast (tv icon on screen device) when watching something that you don't what others to see!

Love how convenient it is to just cast stuff from the phone on to a tv. Chromecast makes it very convenient!

Hooking this up with a Google home mini is very simple. It's awesome to have hands free control!

Yea, it can't handle a lot of video formats but you can always convert. And for what it does do in such a small package without other equipment, it's fantastic. I can go to the parents house and show them pictured, youtube vids, even full HD movies (with surround sound!). Can't beat it for the price.

Very fast and easy to use. You can now watch on your TV anything seen on your phone, The device even allows guests to link to the system and display what is on their phone. I have a three year old smart TV but this device is much easier and faster to use than migrating the smart TV.'s system.
