Amazing technology for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Yea, it can't handle a lot of video formats but you can always convert. And for what it does do in such a small package without other equipment, it's fantastic. I can go to the parents house and show them pictured, youtube vids, even full HD movies (with surround sound!). Can't beat it for the price.

Easy fix for a tv that is not a smart one :)
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I needed to be able to watch Netflix and I needed to be able to cast my tablet to my big screen tv. I bought the chrome cast and it works great for all my needs. It was easy peasy to set up. I already had a fire stix, but the chrome cast is a much better and much easier gadget to use and set up.

Good streaming device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Picture quality is good and set up is easy. Interfaces well with my iPhone to play programs from apps, with some occasional minor glitches. Unfortunately, not all apps interface with the chromecast, but more appear to be adding it with time. If you are an Amazon Prime member, the fire stick may be a better choice, as it interfaces directly with Amazon's Videos.

Great item for the price
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. The New Chromecast is a nice unit. The apps have really grown since I bought the original unit, and the software updates have made the experience much smoother, and the unit seems to have shrunk even smaller. Of course it would be great if there was a simpler unified app that let you buy programming ala carte for a reasonable price. SlingTV was far too choppy. As it is, Chromecast is a nice inexpensive way to drop cable and have programming on all TVs.
