I have had two 1st generation Chromecasts and they worked well. When this 2nd generation was announced, I immediately purchased this knowing that the better hardware would come as a vast improvement. And it did, which now supports 2.4 and 5.0 GHz WiFi (faster downloads and streams), surround sound, and superior HD qualify. Fast Play is an added feature to this iteration and it is is phenomenal. WOULD PURCHASE ANOTHER ONE FOR THE OTHER ROOM.

If you like bread, you will like Chromecast. It is very easy to setup and connect to wifi. There are also many things to watch on many stations.

On supported TVs it will turn on your TV and switch to the HDMI port it occupies. (IF PLUGGED INTO ITS OWN POWER ADAPTER SUPPLIED)... Great Tech gift or Geek Gift.... Supports Chrome Browsers on multiple Operating Systems.. and Mobile Devices. Awesome if you have a Chromebook..... Cant beat the Price!!!!!!

I bought the first one for my home office, it worked great, I bought a 2nd for the living room. Extremely easy to set up, works great with Android or my computer (using Chrome browser). I wished Amazon video app would work with it. There is a workaround though...

I always enjoyed watching Netflix. Since I wanted to upgrade my viewing experience , I have an old blue ray player with poor resolution, My options are buy a smart TV or a new blue ray player. After reviewing the google chromecast and with the bundle price that comes with an indoor antenna coupled with my rewards points, it only cost me $10.00. Easy to install and met all my expectations with clear HD quality that complimented my LED TV.

I knew this was UHD so you pay for what you get. Works well - can stream from PC or through streaming services via my google home!

This is my second, CHROME...I am really happy with this one also..I highly recommend this CHROME 2...

I bought this to stream content on my bedroom TV, which doesn't have a TV box in it. I can stream from my phone or computer's internet for things like Netflix or other embedded video apps. What is does NOT do is stream directly from my computer's video/music files, like DLNA. You have to download a server, like Plex, to play them. In this way, sometimes it takes a minute for the quality to catch up. Also, the quality of desktop cloning is not very good. For $35 it's a great deal (even better than I only had to use BestBuy points for it).
