Bought this one because the old one wasn't working. Easy to use and install was fast.

Great product for quickly streaming video. Just have problems sometimes with it connecting to the WiFi at home.

The Chromecast is pretty good for streaming things like Netflix or Youtube. There's some buffering, but it's not too much. However, it's really difficult to stream your home movie files that may be in .avi or .mkv format. In fact, I haven't really found a good solution. I bought this to go cable free and now I almost wish I would have bought one of the other devices for streaming that allow more flexibility.

Great addition to any TV. This is a very useful product and easy to use.

Just plug it in ur tv's HDMI port and it's ready to go. Set up is very easy.You can cast any online videos on web on ur tv in addition to apps that support casting. U can also mirror ur screen to tv. No need to get cable tv now.Thanks Google and bestbuy.

Chromecast does exactly what it's supposed to do and does a good job doing it. For the price, you can't beat the Chromecast. Plugs in discreetly to an HDMI port on the back of your TV. You can power it through the supplied power cord or through a USB port on your TV. I went with USB to minimize the number of cords and to free up an outlet on the surge protector. The only drawback is that you have to download every app for every channel that you want to stream and these apps start to eat up storage space on your device (iPad, iPhone, etc). If you use your iPhone or iPad for work purposes as I do, you may need to be more discriminate in which apps you download and use for streaming. I went overboard and have since scaled back on what I stream. I knew this when I bought Chromecast so it's not worth knocking down the rating but it is something to consider.

I have a 47' LG 3D smart TV that is now just old enough that apps like YouTube are no longer supported. We also keep our tv in the basement where the wi-fi signal is a little weak. Watching Netflix was a hit-or-miss affair. Thanks to Google Chromecast and its wi-fi antenna, Netflix streams flawlessly. We also can watch YouTube videos again! Excellent value for the price.

This is my second chromecast. I love it. So easy to use out the box and great price.

I had one of the original Chromecast units and I upgraded for better performance for certain streaming events (football games). The new device was set up quickly and has performed well. I was glad that the price has been kept low!
