Customer Ratings & Reviews

Chromecast does exactly what it's supposed to do and does a good job doing it. For the price, you can't beat the Chromecast. Plugs in discreetly to an HDMI port on the back of your TV. You can power it through the supplied power cord or through a USB port on your TV. I went with USB to minimize the number of cords and to free up an outlet on the surge protector. The only drawback is that you have to download every app for every channel that you want to stream and these apps start to eat up storage space on your device (iPad, iPhone, etc). If you use your iPhone or iPad for work purposes as I do, you may need to be more discriminate in which apps you download and use for streaming. I went overboard and have since scaled back on what I stream. I knew this when I bought Chromecast so it's not worth knocking down the rating but it is something to consider.

We purchased two and had to exchange one because it didn't work. Gave one to our son for Christmas. Happy with our purchase.

I have been using the original Chromecast (version 1) in my home on two TV's. I really have enjoyed using it but it does come with its issues such as a degraded picture quality and having on and off connection issues with the wireless router (strength and consistency). I upgraded to this version (version 2) so that I could utilize the 5 GHz bandwidth from my new router. This has helped the signal strength and the overall quality of the picture. I am very pleased with the updates from version 1 to version 2. The only drawback I have is that I preferred the smaller, and more slender footprint of the version 1 device, even with the HDMI extender being used. All in all, I am very satisfied.

Great product for quickly streaming video. Just have problems sometimes with it connecting to the WiFi at home.

Good tool as holiday gift to my techy family. The new model fits small space better.

I just plug this into my tv and it makes viewing videos that much easier.

Works well, smooth, easy to set up. I like that your cell phone works as the remote.

This 2015 Chromecast is sleek and stylish, performance is better than its previous version. Its worth your money, go for it!

I use it all the time to stream Netflix, Hulu, YouTube videos also it’s pretty good if you don’t have a smart tv

Great addition to any TV. This is a very useful product and easy to use.

I have a 47' LG 3D smart TV that is now just old enough that apps like YouTube are no longer supported. We also keep our tv in the basement where the wi-fi signal is a little weak. Watching Netflix was a hit-or-miss affair. Thanks to Google Chromecast and its wi-fi antenna, Netflix streams flawlessly. We also can watch YouTube videos again! Excellent value for the price.

It's truly worth the money! You can watch all of your favorite shows when you want.

Got this as a gift for my son he likes to stream TV instead of use cable

My children love it they stream off their tablets and right to the tv great product

Loved the new chrome features a lot easier to use and easy to sync up to

Great price to make your TV a smart TV. Just as described - easy to setup and convenient to use. We use it more than we expected. I can run Hulu, Netflix and Youtube directly to my tv and the best part is my phone is the remote! Highly recommend.

The new Chromecast is working awesome. It is more faster than it's previous version.

Works very well out of the box. I used this for Netflix, Music, etc. Well designed.

Easy to install from start to finish. I would recommend the chrome cast to anyone looking to netflix or Hulu and much more
