If you're looking for something similar to an AppleTV or Roku anything then you won't be happy. The Chromecast excels in it's simplicity and function but for those looking for a device with a remote and a direct user-input function should look elsewhere. All of the things you'll be streaming to the Chromecast (and there are many!) originate from somewhere else. Watching YouTube on Chome on your Mac or PC? Well, send it to your TV! Watching Netflix on your Android, iOS, or PC? Send it to the TV! note the key point here, none of these interactions started from the Chromecast itself. For users of other streaming devices this will be a different approach and might not be what you're looking for. But $35 you get a great streamer that is device agnostic and simple to use.
