I had the original Chromecast and, while I loved it, this is even better. There seems to be no lag or issues, it changes the input on my TV whenever I connect to it, and it's easier to fit in the tangle of HDMI I have connected. A+

It plays almost anything and totally considering gettng rid of cable

I've had the original version and found I wasn't using it as much due to having an XBox One in my bedroom. I have both Apple and Android tablets and an AppleTV. I primarily use the Chromecast for VUDU streaming. Recently, VUDU changed their software and it now prohibits streaming to the AppleTV! The Chromecast is the perfect compromise. For those using tablets and phones to cast VUDU, VUDU typically drops the quality to standard definition and starts the cast at standard definition. You can change that once you're casting to the Chromecast and get full HD with full surround sound. I only wish the Chromecast had a little more to it, like a few built in apps. This version has a magnet, I believe, that is supposed to help support the device so it's not piling down on your HDMI jack. I fount it to be a nice touch, however, the jack on my TV isn't close enough to stick the Chromecast to the tv. The original version had an extension cable to help with this. The new ones do not

I like it but I the older version is better. The older one is better than this one, this one works only when its plugged in an outlet while the older version gives you an option to plug with an outlet or use the usb of the TV. I prefer the latter option because i don't have to deal with any cords.

Works great for streaming Netflix and out other programs.

I love our Chromecast. We bought 2 and was able to take advantage of the sale. We also were able to take advantage of the $20 Google Pay Credit offered by Google. Since my teen daughter had her own google account, she was able to take advantage of the credit. Otherwise, it's only 1 credit offered per google account, despite how many Chromecasts your purchased.

This is my second one. The new model is easier to set up and operate

Better than my PS for streaming content. Netflix streams flawlessly.
