Good way to add content to your TV

Really great if your TV does not have apps built in, or the selection is limited. Video quality is good, although will depend on your wifi.

Thought it was like an Apple Tv

Well.... It is what it says, cromecast. You cast your own tv by steaming everything from your phone with no apps on the cromcast. It works perfectly but kinda works for what I wanted it to do. If your wanting to stream everything from your phone, then I would but it.

Simplicity is the Key

Connectivity between smartphone and the Chromecast can be iffy at times despite close proximity but functionality, especially the ease with which YouTube videos are projected, is a dream. Plenty of apps from which to choose, especially foreign language channels.

still a useful tool

That is why I still use Chrome Cast most of the time. This newest version of Chrome Cast seems to be a little better but basically the same as the original.
