    That's not to say that this product is bad. It's just that I can't tangibly measure any improvements over its predecessor. I have noticed what seems to be some regression in buffering content when casting Vudu. My older chromecast still has no issues when streaming Vudu. However, even with this version connected to my faster Wireless network, I'm seeing issues I don't think I should see. I'm hoping this will be fixed with future updates.

    Finally took the plunge and purchased this chromecast 2. Not disappointed at all. Hoping for more apps to become compatible with this device. Usually use it to stream youtube, netflix and sometimes screen mirroring. Love it!

    Got my first ChromeCast as a gift and used to broadcast movies/shows from my laptop to my flatscreen. Purchased this second one to connect to my growing Google Home system to make playing Netflix on both sets easier. Just speak the command and I'm good to go. Only been a few weeks with the new Chromecast but so far so good.

    I have a couple of the older model Chromecast devices and needed another. I have noticed an improvement with the wifi performance over the original version, even though the network (WRT1900AC) is using 802.11N with AC disabled for that channel. I would estimate approximately a 10-15% range increase, and a 15-20% improvement in overall performance.
