    Simple as I can possibly say it, buy one of these! I own another Chromecast (the previous version) and love it. This newer version seems to be more responsive. Chromecast will change how you watch everything. I unplugged cable/satellite saving tons of money and only use apps and antennae tv. You will not regret the purchase.

    I wanted to replace my long HDMI cable and thought this would be perfect. But its has its limitations. For all the websites it supports natively its works great but for viewing other online video content its a little laggy. All in all nice addition to my gadgets.

    I upgraded from the first generation due to compatibility issues YouTube TV and it works perfectly. I've noticed a few performance benefits when using it with Google Home as well.

    The chromecast stream pretty much everything form popular apps such as Netflix and YouTube. It is sing the best and most affordable way to make your TV smart and have some decent streaming options.

    It[s pretty good if you use android. It's limited use if you are on the IOS. I have it so I can use google Home to control my TV. I wish they have a remote control so I can control the divice without using the phone which is not always readyly available.

    Most mobile device applications support casting to allow user to project content on a tv/projector. I attached my device to a home hdmi receiver that feeds into a projector. It was super easy to setup the device. Simply download Google Home app and it will discover the new device to allow you to configure network settings and device name, if you have more than one at home. That was it! YouTube, Pandora, Spotify, you name it, all support this device. Simply tap on the 'cast' icon. I connected my device to my wireless router via a 5G network. So far it is working very well to play YouTube HD content. This device doesn't support 4K. You need to get a different model for the 4K support.
