bought it for my mother in a nursing home.

I was hoping to use it for streaming but found there wifi not to work in the home. So i am planning on using my phone as a hotspot to stream. This is my second one they work very well. If you have a google account you have to own one.. Enjoy

The diminutive package is Google's answer to products like Apple TV, Roku 3 and the Amazon Fire TV – all of which are designed to take your digital content and streaming services like Netflix, Sling TV and Amazon Prime Instant Video and get them up on your big screen without fuss or fiddle. But whereas the competition uses fancy interfaces to hold content and run on complex operating systems, Google's little streamer is content just sitting there and waiting for your other devices to tell it what to stream.

You can stream things from your phone to your tv

You can stream a variety of apps such as Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, and even Google Photos but I would prefer to be able to mirror everything from my iPhone to my tv. None the less this is a nice product and I find it useful

Great device for screen mirroring, except easier!

However, whenever I would mirror from my computer to the t.v., I would be unable to use my computer until I was finished mirroring. Not so with the chromecast! You can continue using your devices while the casting occurs in the background!

Great blu-ray player
