I Have a older tv flat screen that I wanted to use to stream things from my phone, this is what made that happen for me. Turns your tv into a smart tv.

SO I got this to be able to stream my phone to my TV. SO far it works like it should, quality is pretty nice. Lags a little between the phone and the TV if you are watching them at the same time, but who is going to do that?

Bought this to stream Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, & HBO Go and it works great. Just plug into an HDMI slot, sync your phone, and you're good to go...very easy to set up.

I have the older version of this and they both worked well. Other than obvious differences (shape, hanging dongle?, and color) I don't see a big difference between the old and the new. However, if you do not have the first generation chromecast, then this one is well worth a look.

Sets up fast, easy and works with several apps and programs. Hopefully they will add more, nothing more frustrating than the one you want to use being behind in the times.

I mainly bought the chromecast to cast video from my desktop to tv. It works without any lag. Wish it had its own remote so won't have to go to computer every time we need to pause the videos. For the price it's worth it

Even though this product is tiny and hidden behind the tv, it does soooooo much more for me than I even wanted. What an amazing piece of technology. I get to watch all my shows with its video streaming apps. Anyone who doesn't have a smart TV yet should definitely purchase this.

Like most streaming devices, it supports Netflix which all devices do. However, the ability to screencast from all of my devices (laptop, tablet and phone) makes all of the difference. While we have a a smart TV which has some apps for streaming, none of our TVs had the screencast abilities. Sharing content from our many devices has never been easier.

I own both the 1st and 2nd gen. Chromecasts as well as the Amazon Fire Stick and I prefer the Fire Stick to the Chromecast, especially the 2nd gen. model. I had a very difficult time getting the new model Chromecast to sync with my tv. The lack of a dedicated remote is still a problem.

Now A Days with so much material coming from online sources You have to have one of these for your TV. Mine was rasonably priced and does an excellent job.

The Chromecast was super easy to install and it allowed us to stream Netflix without having to hook the laptop to the tv. Streaming feels seamless with almost no buffering.

Good product to use without having to use a cable box

Makes any TV smart, and is very easy to use. I have bought two of these, and use them almost every day to stream HBO go, or netflix, etc. Great buy and a great price!
