  • Replacing broken older model

    My older Chromecast broke at the HDMI connection, bad design put too much pressure on connection. This new model seems to have fixed the issue and should last longer. Setup was a bit more time consuming than I would have thought, not sure how the older model was, it was set up for me. Other than that is works great.

    Easy to setup. You cast your entire computer screen to the TV or watch your favorite videos from youtube. The price is awesome for all that you can cast.

    plug in to tv and use phone or tablet as remote. Easy to set up and offers almost anything you can find for movie and tv show watching. Netflix,Sling,Hulu,YouTube, etc. Can’t get Amazon Prime though.

    Really was looking at these during Black Friday getting these items for an 19.99. I have 3 total all on a Vizio, Samsung, and Sanyo TV. Works perfectly on all my Tv's I just hated using the built in wifi and apps. They were completely unreliable.

    my main purpose was to use it for DLNA . for the most part it works wel for that purposel. The chromecast itself doesn't really do the encoding but you can cast the video from your phone/ tablet/ computer/ etc. at times you kinda wish it had a remote other than your phone. I'm pretty sure it does a lot more that I haven't discovered yet

    I've had the original chromecast since it was released and the new one seems to be faster. I like using chromecast much more than my roku, just simpler.

    This Google Cast is great! I have an older TV in the bedroom, and this allows me to stream all the content I want without upgrading my TV. Only complaint is an extra wire/plug coming from the TV, it'll be even better if HDMI could power the device.

    I love that I can take this with me and I can always cast my kids movies on the TV. This is especially helpful when visiting the grandparents house. Setup was simple and I have now used it with my Samsung Galaxy Note 4, Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, my PC and my MacBook Pro.
