If you want a dumb tv to act like a smart tv, this is the way to go ! Control it from your phone, tablet etc. I take mine with me when I travel and all of my premium Channels come with me, all I need is wifi. For the price, nothing beats Chromecast.

This is definitely one of the best pieces of tech I have ever bought from Best Buy, or anywhere really. This Chromecast, to put it simply, just works. The setup process is extremely easy. As soon as I turn on my TV, the Chromecast boots up, even if I am not on the selected input. And it's fast when casting. I also love the wallpaper feature. I can set my own album of wallpapers from Google Photos to show up through the Chromecast for when it is not in use but I want a nice backdrop for my TV. This is awesome. I definitely recommend this.

bought this for my mother to stream netflix and she loves it! she takes it everywhere because it is just that small and easy to set up

Easy to install and understand. Love how I am able to see all my favorites like YouTube, Netflix, TV, and I can even play Pandora.

Having previous experience with a Roku, and needing another similar device, I decided to pick up a Chromecast since it was way cheaper. Even as a techie, I ignored the praise and was at first a bit skeptical about how I'd need to have to cast from my phone. My battery already drains itself fast enough. But after having used this for a while, my fears were baseless. I can pull up whatever I want and cast it to the TV. The dedicated apps work very well, and it's also neat to be able to just use my television as an external monitor for my phones/tablets.

I have Apple TV in my bedroom, I have Android TV in my basement. I know how to use streaming services on both. Purchased Chromecast for my Family room and love it. This is the cheapest, most reliable piece of technology, working with your smartphone and TV. Don't waste your money buying smart TVs. TV Manufacturers are not updating their software so often. Buy cost effective TV + chromecast and enjoy HQ picture and streaming services.

Nice, easy to set up and use. Can toggle back and forth easily between screens. There was an issue when it kept buffering but that was an Internet issue that's been fixed and now it's great.

Even if you have a smart TV this is a must have. Is way faster than smart TV apps. And the casting is a big plus. Works better with Android phones. I need to buy 1 more for my other room.

Glad to have the capability to capture access to Netflix and other streaming resources. Was easy to install and worked as expected. Rare these days.

I have previously owned and used an Apple TV but thought I'd give the Google Chromecast a go as per recommendation by a friend. Set up was pretty straight forward and works great to stream your media to the big screen TV for a theatre experience!

I had previously owned the first generation chromecast and this one is by far better. It has dual band antennas plus it does support 5.1 surround sound on certain apps like netflix and hulu.

The set up process was easy. It is great if you want to stream different things from your ipad/iPhone on the TV. But it doesn't allow the Xfinity app to stream, which is what I wanted it for.

My second chromecast in the house - I think this is perfect for my home gym - just turn on the TV and control it from my phone - no need to worry about losing a remote - no need to make sure remote has battery etc. I can watch pretty much everything I normally watch online on this thing. I can even control the volume of the playback from my phone so no need to even have the TV remote. Can't get any easier. Highly recommended. I don't have a google home, but now I wish I had - then I can even speak to google home to play content on the TV.

I love this Chromecast. Video quality is excellent. Very easy to use and works great with my Google home. It is also a lot less then Apple TV

Chromecast has all your streaming needs, and works perfectly with androids. By downloading all-cast you can pretty much stream anything.

Really improved upon since the first chromecast was released. It's much more port friendly in its design! Primarily I use it to stream Netflix and YouTube on my TV to give my consoles a rest from being entertainment workhorses so they don't wear out faster. You can also use it to play Cards Against Humanity without all the mess with everyone who has a smartphone! A very good buy. Just make sure you purchase the one you need.

This Chromecast was easy to set up and it performs flawlessly. It has good connectivity bandwidth and delivers a great high def picture.

I love my new Chromecast, it has radically changed the way I watch TV. I can download from my local library, or stream from Hulu, Netflix or Amazon and many others. I love that it doesn't suck up my device's batteries either.

This is a really nice gadget for streaming from your phone, tablet, or laptop. In my experience, it works best when streaming from your phone, but I also use my laptop (though, sometimes it's not the best connection). If the Apple TV is out of your price range (I'm in this category), you'll enjoy this product.

Easy setup and best streaming option for the price. Price match even got me $10 off because the price dropped a couple days after I bought it.
