Set-up was very easy, using an Android phone. I lost connectivity regularly with my older chromecast but that has not happened with this one.

Chromecast works amazing. Allows you to cast from multiple devices. Works better than previous generation device and fits better behind TV.

This not only works well with other types of products like Apple, it was super easy to install. Using for sling TV and streaming is a breeze.

Upgraded from original one. Daughter works at Google and suggested upgrade. Better video quality plus communicates with Google home

I had the older version of the Chromecast and decided to get a newer model mainly for the 5G WiFi capability. All I can say is it just works. Great product and very convenient for screen casting and streaming, even for an Apple user like myself.

The Chromecast is by far the best device out there for streaming media to your television. It makes it as easy as clicking a single button on your smartphone or laptop and *boom* it shows up on your TV. If you use the external power supply, it can even turn on your TV and set the input to the Chromecast. This feature requires a TV that supports that HDMI instruction set, most do. The quality of the streaming is excellent but highly dependent on the quality of your wireless network. For me, the performance has been basically perfect!

Well I do love this product however what I HATE is that you HAVE to have some type of WiFi and it has to be in close proximity, if not you’re screwed. I thought it was plain Bluetooth, but jokes on me it’s not! I tried using it in Crested Butte hotel, however the WiFi was too far and wouldn’t connect. (Sigh) So I ended up having to use my Hotspot on my phone, oh that’s another thing, I’m so glad I decided to bring my iPad mini with us as well because then I could’ve never used this product. If you use hotspot you HAVE to have two devices one to be the router (hotspot) the other to be like the remote. I would only recommend IF they knew everything about it and are willing pay for it. Yes it’s cheap and works well, however if you plan on going to a remote area most likely will not work.

I mainly use this chromecast to screen mirror my tablet to the tv. It works great! I have movies on my tablet that I can watch on my tv wirelessly. Would definitely recommend getting this

Low cost, easy set up, lots of uses/ and available apps. Chromecast is great for cord cutters and those who have a smart tv. Highly recommended!

Does what it's supposed to well, easy to connect to, and a pretty good bargain for the price, helped turn my "dumb" TV into a smart TV

TV could not support GoPro Videos format on the GoPro 3 model and this unit allows you to mirror the laptop and then you plug the External Hard Drive into the computer and can play the GoPro video. After talking to the Geek Squad, this is what they recommended and it has worked for us.

This is my go to device for casting movies from my phone to the TV. It's small and it hides behind my TV and the quality is good.

Out of the many devices out on the market when it comes to streaming devices, Chromecast is in my opinion the best. I think one of the best caveats with chromecast is that it fits into your Google ecosystem. Instead of getting multiple products that don't talk with each other, having a Google Chromecast just made that experience smooth and seamless. While I can and have used other devices, being able to teach someone like my father or someone not as well versed with technology how to use the chromecast made this an easy purchase.

Really easy to set this up. Twice as fast and better range than the first generation Chromecast. I highly recommend this device, go for it.

This ceraion is even faster then before. Compatibility with 5 Ghz makes an awesome product even better.... Everyone needs to have one of this.

I currently have 3 of these in my home and use them every day. I only have a cable going to one TV, so I can stream any tv show, live tv, or game to and of the other TVs using my phone or my laptop and it is so convenient.

Great device, user friendly and easy setup! This is one main device to get if you are a user of Google ecosystem. It has a reset button on the side in case you ever need to fix things. Download the "Localcast" and Google Home app to your device and stream away! NOTE: This device DOES NOT store media or have apps to install. You can also use a PC or laptop and stream to it from the Chrome web browser. Once connected to the internet, it pulls the info from there (when using streaming services like Netflix, YouTube, Hulu, etc.).
