It took a while for me to grasp exactly what this thing does. Then it took a little while longer to figure out how it does what it does. Once you understand those two things and how you need you phone (or tablet) to operate this gadget plugged into you TV, all is good with the world. The 'cast' quality is not as good as broadcast, but not by much. The iOS app works well but not every internet video source will 'cast'. Look for a alternative app to the official Chromecast app to "cast" those which don't "officially" support Chromecast. Otherwise, this little thing works great with Hulu and Sling and Watch ESPN. Will not work with the NCAA app, however.

We decided to cut cable so we didn’t have the option of watching tv in our bedroom anymore. Then we decided to go with the Chromecast. It’s been great for our bedroom TV and just enough for what we need in there.

You can turn any non-Smart TV into smart. If you have other Chromecast or Google Cast devices, it works on the same ecosystem.

I needed something that would allow me to play music from my phone on my Tv. The associate suggested Chromecast, which I was not familiar with. I absolutely love this device. It does much more than I was looking for and basically turns my Tv into a smart Tv. Great product...thanks for the suggestion!

Easy to hook up and use. Works well with android tablet. Great pictures on the television screen. Great scenes and beautiful colors.

This is the second Chromecast that I have purchased. The first was for myself, the second for my mom. I also use this at work. Great way to watch videos you have created and pictures you have taken. That's what ai wanted them for.

More features than even my smart tv. Bought this for the TV in the living room to add smart tv capability. I find i move it to the other tv in the house too. Great deal for what it does. I am thinking about getting at least 1 more!

Pretty good, I can mirror my iPhone to my tv with ease, the only thing that kept happening was, after watching a movie or show, screen froze and I had to reset all the time othan than that I thought it was good

I love it it works great and plugs in real easy it's way better then the original and is very strong I just might Buy another one

This device makes my life so much easier when it comes to sharing content. Already, I've been able to connect my phone and show pictures to my familiy. I've connected my tablet and watched movies and the Chromecast App has many of the popular apps already installed so most times I just need to log in and start watching. Another thing I've done is, place the device in my guestroom on the TV that doesn't have a cable box. I tell my guests to watch whatever they would normally watch via their phone/tablet. It's Great!

Bought it for my Father In-Law since he always liked to watch YouTube videos on his phone on the couch even though the TV was a couple feet from him. He was always holding the phone so close to him so I figured this would be the perfect present for him. He uses it everyday so definitely was the perfect present. He's not used to technology, so the fact that the Chromecast just kicks in whenever he selects play on Chromecast on his phone is very good for anyone who questions if their family will even be able to use it.

This product is great! I use it with my Playstation Vue account and it gives me perfect picture and so far no lags or dropped service.

I got a new chromecast for my bedroom tv and very happy with the newer model. A snappier version of a good thing. The only thing i dislike is the no amazon prime videos, but that is all on amazon. At first I didn't like the look of the new model, but after opening I ended up really liking it.

This Chromecast works well. One complaint - sometimes it does not show up in the available areas -- Such as "bedroom", "living room". Sometimes one will show up and not the other on the casting device. I have two Chromecasts. One in the bedroom and one in the living room.

You probably already know what this is (& is capable of) if you’re looking into it but just in case, it’s the best method for streaming video/media from a smart phone or laptop to your TV! I use Apple/Mac’s exclusively & quickly found ways to make sure there weren’t any compatibility issues. Simply go to videolan(dot)org & you can use that app to recognize your chrome cast & stream accordingly (just make sure both devices are on the same WiFi).

Thus is our second purchase of Google Chromecast. Easy to use and adaptable to variety of TV and input sources such as smartphones

I bought this Chromecast to make my non-smart TV a smart TV. I am able to stream apps like Netflix and YouTube on my TV just to name a few. I also found some game apps that I can stream like Connect 4. Good investment for my TV.

I like that this version is dual band so it can operate on the 5MHz band. Powers from the TV USB port. Casts great from phone, tablet, etc. Works greaat with CBS all access. Just wish NBC would update their app to Chromecast also.

Great product! Had high expectations and wasn't let down. Works faster than 1st gen Chromecast, looks nicer and priced well.

My girlfriend got me a Google Home as a gift for Christmas. So, I decided to get a Google Chromecast for streaming Nexflix, HBO NOW, Spotify, etc. I totally love this piece of gear. It works awesomely, specially with my Google Home. It's very simple to set up and use, and it responds super fast to my Google Home commands. I will definitely recommend it. For the price, you'll get an awesome TV experience.
