Easy to use and great for stream stuff from my phone or tablet. Helps me make my tv smart tv without the remote.

Picked this up due to I have the older version. This one is better by far from the original. Love to cast to the tv

Bought this to add 5ghz support, which it does. The new cable design is nice in that it hides the unit better and has fewer issues when connecting with some televisions. I will say though that both this and the older model do seem to perform the same in regards to speed and video capability.

So easy to use. Gave me Netflix and other streaming services on an older TV for a fair price. Came with everything you need also.

Easy install and casting on via your smart phone is a snap. Makes your non smart tv into a smart tv at a very affordable price.

My family loves the Chromecast! So easy to set up and use. Great $ and provides u with music and access to several streamers.

Easy setup. I have had some connectivity issues but the worst case scenario required me to unplug the power to the unit and replug to power. I hope more apps support Chromecast!!

I purchased this Chromecast about two-three weeks ago now and so far it's been the most convenient thing I have ever purchased. I watch movies on a regular basis and usually have to connect my laptop to my computer via an HDMI cord. This was an annoying process since I would always have to stay relatively close if I was using my laptop (HDMI cord was short). Now I can connect my laptop to the Chromecast and move around cord free. Also works with my phone and tablet. It's been great. Set up was incredibly simple.

The new design is pretty awesome than the old one. The new one looks like a chrome browser came live. The HD casting depends on home internet connectivity. But, for medium internet connectivity also, its an awesome telecasting.

Faster than the previous generation. If you don't have a smart TV this is the best option. Cheap and works with most streaming apps.

Love the ability to send from my phone/laptop to my tv. Love watching YouTube videos and this makes it seamless. Easy to setup.

Item works well. Great way to watch Netflix without having to have my laptop hooked up. However my 5 year old Samsung TV with 'Anynet' has issues with it. If you can't get Anynet to connect, you will need to unplug the cable box from the TV! Took hours of online research to find this fix.

Would have liked it more if it didn't require dedicated power. Does a great job of casting screen (think Apple TV mirror) and chrome cast. Beta feature of audio on laptop and video on tv still needs work since it is out of synch. Something I am looking out for and a main reason to get it.

It is not as easy as it shows on the instructions. My son bought for my daughter and there was no way she could install it. It to me an hour to install it, but it was because of the wifi not the device. Once I got it working it worked great for her. She uses it for binge watching Netflix.

I have a 1st generation Chromecast and there is nothing wrong with it. I bought this one because I travel often and it's great to bring one along. The upgraded features in this build is better than expected!

It just works. As simple as that. I hooked it into an HDMI port on my receiver, set it up with the app and now we're rolling. I decided on the Cast because I received a Google Home for Christmas. Now, I simply ask Google to play whatever song I want and it'll cast it to my home stereo. For added fun, I used the IFTTT app and my Harmony remote--I can ask Google to turn my stereo system on and to the correct inputs AND play any song or video I want, all with voice controls. It works, it simply works.

I have had Chromecast since it just was launched. It allows you to watch any youtube video in your TV and with today's internet speeds you can even watch live TV if you subscribe to Youtube TV, DirectTVnow or HBOnow. This will give you the freedom of not needing the Cable providers with those long term contracts. So it's a great option when having multiple TVs in the house so you do not need a cable box for each of them, you just need a Chromecast and get ready to Cast content.

I love the easy use of Chromecast to stream from local channels and apps! Excellent price point as compared to Apple TV also!
