Because I have the 2014 models and have loved them, but the old ones now aren't working very well so I guess I should buy some new ones for my house! We haven had cable in years, so this is such a great way to watch my shows.

This is my 2nd Chromecast, I purchased it for my bedroom TV and it is the best device. What I like about it is that there are several apps that you can download to cast to the device other than Google Home.

The products work very well! They do exactly as they say they would do! They were very easy to program. I use them both daily!

I have Chromecasts on all of my TVs. This one was for my daughter to take to college. I'm not sure why anyone would pay more for similar products. It is simple and easy to use. Since you use your phone, tablet or laptop to control it, you never lose the remote. I did have to order the ethernet adapter ($15 from Google) for my daughter's dorm since the wifi requires a user name and password (Chromecast will only work with password-only). That was simple enough to install and it "just works" as well.

I needed to make a business presentation from my laptop to a monitor previously purchased at BestBuy, and I'm not tech-friendly, the Chromecast permitted me to make an excellent presentation to a prospect.

Bought 3 of these and plan on buying more as gifts. As an old movie buff, this was the perfect solution to watch my old movies and shows in all rooms of the house. You can even set it up to stream to 2 TV's at once, although I usually just stream a comp. and tablet at the same times. Set-Up was a Snap. Works best with Google Chrome. Had to exchange one that I believe had a glitch. Would definitely recommend to anyone who wants to watch their comp., tablet or phone screen on their TV!

Pretty inexpensive gadget to allow streaming in another room. Had it set up in 5 minutes and works flawlessly so far.

I have an Apple TV, Amazon Fire, and a chromecast and LOVE the chromecast! it's fast and works seamlessly with my iphone.

Chromecast to cast things from my laptop onto my tv and it works great! The quality is perfect and its easy to use.

Needed another chromecast for a different TV, and this works great. It is in a room quite a distance from the router, but has no trouble playing content such as netflix or videos from chrome browser tabs.

The Chromecast is great for mirror screen. I can mirror everything from my cellphone, pc to my big screen TV, Great..., I wish I purchased more when it was $19.99...., so I can mirror to all my TV at home

Chrome cast allows you to stream Netflix if you do not have a smart tv. Very easy to set up and operate.

However, you will be limited by the processing power of your phone or tablet sending the feed. On my mid priced phone, many videos had excessive buffering making it impossible to watch. I* had better luck installing the chromecast app on my main computer and sending from there to TV

Purchased for a family member in another state and haven't had the opportunity to connect it yet - the 5 Star rating is because I have no reason to assume this product will not work with Google Home Mini.

I am very happy with this device. You have a wide variety of apps to choose from and viewing on the big screen is so much better than viewing on the phone or tablet. This is my second Chromecast and I am just as satisfied.

I baught this since my sony t.v.'s mirror capability was horrible and would loose connectivity from my phone while trying to stream movies. It does a great job of keeping the movies connected on my t.v. I havent tried using this device for any other functions since wvrything else works fine on my smart t.v. but am sure this will work as its supposed to. Highly recommend for anyone with an galaxy S6 since this phone doesn't have hdmi wire capability directly to a device and has to be streamed only.
