Had the first gen Chromecast, this one takes up way less space! Better WiFi connection, easy to set up and go!

Easy to set up on the TV and is compact. Nice to be able to cast shows and things from our smartphones, tablets, laptops, etc. using the chromecast

The boyfriend purchased this, he didn't realize you have to have google chrome in order to use this. Wasn't an issue setting an account up in order to use it, but if you're buying this for an office make sure you're able to use google chrome on your desktop.

I absolutely love google, and we had another Chromecast just like this one already, however we had to have another! We got sick of moving the Chromecast from the TV in our bedroom to the TV in our kitchen. We had a lot of issues with the first Chromecast but since this upgraded one was released we've had no problems with it. Highly recommend. Unless you want to watch something on Amazon you can basically watch anything with it!

Allows me to stream workout apps from my phone to the screen while exercising in the home. Works perfectly!

I had 2 of the first gen of the chromecasts, and it's a mass improvement. Before it cast few apps, now I have more options to cast. The update of the software allow your guests to cast, using a pin#.

I am using the Chromecast with a 2014 smart TV from a leading company. The simple interface (your phone) is significantly better than any smart TV interface. Excellent for streaming video and music.

I already have a recent generation Apple TV, but decided to pick-up a Chromecast to go with a Google Home. Couldn't be more impressed with the Chromecast. For $35 it's an awesome little dongle to get content from your phone, tablet, or laptop to your TV. The integrations with the Chrome web browser to do screen sharing and with the Google Home really impressed me. I ended up buying multiple so there can be one on each TV. Would definitely recommend!

Easy to use Picture quality is awesome So nice to be able to attend from your phone

Google Chromecast is great for the ease casting video and music apps. The Chromecast obviously works well with the Google apps, but still works will with a vast selection of third party video apps. Using your phone, tablet, or laptop as the controller is great, but I feel a remote with a direct connection with the Chromecast with resetting the device if the device you're using as a remote has a error. Overall, it is a great casting device with a variety of features. It is always great watching YouTube on the TV instead of my phone.

Set up was pretty easy for a non-techy. I was glad to cast but surprised that everything does not cast. I'm continuing to learn all the apps that can.

I was disappointed with how much it lagged & choppiness it had while using it to watch movies. I already new that it may be like this cause my friend purchased one a few months back and I saw how it looked on his television when he watched a movie. In fairness, I kind of expected this, So I wasn't upset. I thought I'd give it a chance and see how it looked on my Samsung 50 " TV that I bought from BestBuy less than a year ago. I would like to say that this is just my opinion of the Chromecast and this review is only based on watching a movie using it and not have a premium service, etc. Let me say though that this is a great product. It work's perfect to view pictures, emails, social media, etc. I felt the price was very fair as well. If this is your only option to have your television act like a " Smart TV ", or its best for you economically/financially then It may be great for you to do whatever it is that you need it to do with it. It really just depends on what you're going to be using it for. I say to give it a try like I did, cause you can't beat it for the price. BestBuy was excellent as always about returning/refunding purchase back to me without asking any questions. I hope this helps anyone out there and thank you Bestbuy for always being professional and helping me with whatever it is that I need help with at any given time.

I've been through using the Roku and Amazon Fire and prefer this device because it has all the other options but also allows you to send YouTube TV video to your TV from your phone.

We had the original Chromecast and find this one to be easier to use and provides better picture quality.

Love that I can use my iOS device to stream, however it's very limited, I cannot stream everything, for example I cannot stream directly from safari on my iPhone. The good thing is I can use my MacBook Pro and stream everything off of the chrome browser.

This is just an upgraded model of original Chromecast. It has upgraded internals that make the Wi-Fi stronger and less prone to drop connections. Image quality is still good for streaming quality.

It works. It's convenient, especially if you don't have an HDMI port in your laptop and you need to connect it to a TV. But if you own an adapter and HDMI cord, you don't really need this. An adapter costs a lot less than a Chromecast.

For 35 bucks and the ease of use, I bought a few for gifts and all the televisions in the house.
