This device works just fine. I can watch content seamlessly using my phone. I wish it came with a remote so that I can use it without my phone.

Just some issues connecting Windows laptop to Chromecast for streaming but as a standalone device, its great.

Practically a plug'n'play. Downloaded the app and setup went smooth as butter. Satisfactory performance

I do not really use this device to stream Netflix or etc. I instead use it to display my phone on my TV when I want to show more than one person a picture or video on my phone... worth the money.

It's super simple to set up to set up, very easy to use and compatible with many platforms and services.

This product is a great tool for mirroring your cell phone screen to a TV screen. I like to use it to show photos I have taken with my cell to a larger group of people. Also great for streaming Netflix and YouTube and a few other apps similar to those.

This product is working great for my situation. I have a hard time hearing the television since the sound comes out the sides. This enables the sound to come directly at me and I don't have to keep the volume so high which disturbs others around me.

So easy to cast to and integrate with Google home and many different platforms that work with it

Great product. We use it in our bedroom who h didn't have a cable box had worked out perfect for us able to watch movies with all our subscriptions and kids are able to watch their shows as well

It's great. Am able to show movies from my cell to theTV. I'm able to watch Netflix on a regular TV.

I have a ChromeCast on every TV in my house. Many apps have a cast button that allow you to play content directly on the ChromeCast including YouTube, Netflix, Crunchyroll, and many others. Very easy and the ChromeCast does the heavy lifting so you can use your phone while the content is playing. Very easy to set up as well. All of my use was with Android devices and Windows PCs. I cannot comment on Apple compatibility, but it's supposed to work.

I had tried to use the "Screen Mirror" feature to cast photo images from a HP Laptop to a Sony TV. It worked - for a few seconds - and then lost connectivity. With Chromecast, it became easy to cast anything visible on my laptop to the TV. For using a streaming application like Netflix, I found it much easier to access and select a program on my laptop and then cast it to the TV than it was to use the TV's on-screen login and selection features.

This Chromecast has definitely been improved over the original. It works better in general, with less glitches, but is also a better shape and size.

If you have a first-generation chromecast, there's no reason to upgrade. It's nearly identical in function, just with upgraded hardware that won't really matter unless you have 5ghz band network.

After reading some reviews I was a little leery about about this device. I went ahead and bought one and now I am completely satisfied. I stream movies from my computer to my tv with no issues. I have not seen any picture "stutter" at all. I now have 3 of these installed on various tvs and all work without issue. Although these will connect to 5G, there is no way I found to specically tell it to. Two are connected to 2.4G and one to 5G

It is definitely a step above the original chromecast!! Easy to connect.... and can finally connect to my 5g!!!

Great gadget for $35. Lets you cast all you favorite streaming sites as well as share photos and videos.

At this point almost everyone knows what a Chromecast is and their most basic uses. I bought this latest one, my 3rd of the 2nd generation, to serve as the brain for a digital photo frame. Pulling photos from Facebook and Google photos I took an unused monitor and repurposed it as a full time slideshow and part time media center. And like I said, for the price you can't beat it. My sole gripe is that Chromecast and Chromecast audio are two separate products. I'd love if they were one, even if the price happened to be a little higher.

I had a first generation Chromecast that worked fine, but was a bit slow when casting things to it. Picked one of these up on Black Friday and the speed difference is noticible!
