Updated wifi standard and better heat management make this new model better than last gen's. Did have a bit of an issue connecting to my AC network but eventually got there. Other than being faster and cooler than before, no functional difference.

Great casting item at a great price. Can stream just about everything from my mobile devices to my tv.

Picked this up on a price match with Staples for $25. When I got home and connected it to my network, I had a $20 Google Play credit and a free Google Play movie rental waiting in my offers.

Works a little faster than its predecessor but an awkward design. The first one worked just fine, but if you have a flat screen on the wall with HDMI directly on the back, this would be for you.

The Chromecast was easy to setup and works great for streaming Hulu, Netflix or YouTube TV!

I was a little hesitant about this product but the directions are very simple, easy to follow and it opened the world of several channels which gave me lots of movie options.

I dont see much difference between between latest google chrome cast when compared with initial version. I bought this item at best buy with very low rate when compared with other retailers.

This is my first Chromecast after years of having Roku. I still use Roku because we use a lot of the channels and not have to worry about having a cast device is key for kids. But the ability to instantly show something from a phone or computer to the Chromecast is so convenient. I honestly mostly use it for music at this point, but I've only had it a few weeks and look forward to trying it with media from my PC and other sournces.

The chromecast has improved! It is faster than its previous gen. and offers quicker install and set up!

This is a great inexpensive way to view whatever is currently playing on your device (Ipad, computer, phone). Recommended by Best Buy employee when I was looking for an adapter for the Ipad to watch Netflix on the TV. Saved substantial money by purchasing the puck instead, can use it with all my devices and it works beautifully. Awesome little product.

The Google Chromecast can basically make your TV smart. With your smartphone (works with either Android or iOS), you can access apps like Netflix, HBO NOW, Showtime to watch your favorite shows, or even cast Facebook videos. I like the Chromecast because I can specifically cast videos when I use my phone's internet browser. Very helpful when you want something on a bigger screen rather than on a small screen.

Be patient during initial setup unit may timeout while trying to connect to your wifi. After several tries it finally connected and have not had any streaming issues since.

Simple for the non-technology astute. Works great with Netflix and streaming from you computer.

I love the chromecast. I have one for almost every TV in the house as well as one for travel. Theyre just too easy to use to pass up. A must have for any streaming home.vvc

The been amazing, it has allowed me to keep a great working TV and turn it into a smart TV is easily controlled by my phone. Even got my boyfriend to buy one for his house.

Really good product from GOOGLE! It has lots of APPS and connects easily. Also allows you to mirror your phone screen on the TV. It really is complete, I already recommended it to friends!

Must have product if you do watch content in online from random sites. Easy to setup. Easy to cast.

This chromecast is an easy setup and I really appreciate that because I’m not that great at setting things up alone. It’s a simple link up if you want it for a small bedroom especially. The only confusing thing that I didn’t understand is when I turn off the tv it still has a blinking light. Not sure if I’m supposed to disconnect the wire each time I turn off the tv, but so far I’ve just left it connected.
