Essentially it's a wireless connection from your phone to your screen. I expected it to work more like the Apple TV, but it doesn't. It took me some time to get out of that mindset.

Easy to use, very fast and stylish..cheap enough so that anybody can have a good time

Google chromecast is my favorite streaming device. I love the ease of use with using your phone. My only complaint is if you don’t have good internet it can be a pain to get it working right. Lots of streaming issues with slow internet. I would recommend getting the 4K version just because it comes with the Ethernet hook up. You can go direct and not have to use WiFi.

Great piece of tech, very easy to setup and broadly works across my phone and PC to stream.

Definitely really being able to Chromecast photo albums I've made on Google Photos. It also works with Chrome Tabs on my computer, so I can Chromecast more than just YouTube videos.

I have two of these. They are incredibly convenient and work well with no problems. Most networks/services have an applicable "cast" button in the apps + you can cast non-compatible things by screen-sharing your Google Chrome window to the TV. Despite my very minimal wifi service. the Chromcast that I bought at Best Buy has delivered excellent video from both my Iphone and my laptop computer. Initially, I had purchased another product from another source that claimed to be a Chromecast device, but was in reality a fake and did not work at all. Beware of this product! Make sure you have a real one which can be purchased at Best Buy.

I have heard alot about Chromecast but didn't really know how it all worked that is until I saw this great deal on the Google Chromecast with HDMI. I purchased and connected it up and in minutes I was streaming video from my phone, my tablet, my laptop and desktop computer to my television and the quality was great! So glad I found this deal and finally got to use Chromecast by Google.

I have been trying to figure out the best way to project my files and presentation from my android device. I lecture and discuss produce CTS and methods needed in my humanitary NGO. The ease of use and the reliability of the chrome cast device makes it possible for me to bring to life our humanitarian activities. Another's big plus is that is is USB compatible with any device. Such as, digital projectors and screen sharing.

I finally have one of these on each of the TV's in my home. We have about 4. None have cable, we've been without cable for about 8 years now if not more. Streaming our content from our mobile devices is simple. Only thing that would make this better would be the ability to mirror what's on my computer (not just the Chrome browser tab). I even set one up for my mother to cast to her TV. She gets it, super easy.

Google products are well know to plug, play and work. This cast device is no different. You will find it fun to ask movies and not have to use a DVD player again.

It shows all the content from your smartphone or tablet to the TV. This makes very useful if you want to use those devices as media center or use as a virtual and portable office.

This is my first Chromecast, it was very easy to follow instructions and set up. Super fast

When I first purchased it, I thought it was going to be like the Roku or Amazon Firestick, but it's more of a steaming device to stream from your smartphone, tablet, and computers. Wasn't personally for me, but it is a neat product.

I bought it to add the Miracast function to my old Sony LED TV. I would cast my verizon LG G3 phone on it to watch sports. There is definitely a lag which is most likely due to the wifi connection of my phone during live sports action.

Not being real 'techie', setting this up to get it running wasn't too bad. Did need to reset router for everything to sync, but once that was done it works great.

I am a big Roku fan and I have three of those devices in my house and are my primary viewing choice. There are a few things that it doesn't do well and casting from another device tops the list. The Chromecast excels in that department. We were taking a trip and I wanted something portable to use in the place we were staying, so I used that as an excuse and purchased a Chromecast. I still prefer the Roku's search capabilities, but it is nice to be able to cast anything from our phones or Chromebooks to the TV.
