With all of the apps in the Google Play store, this makes it very possible to live without cable. I was extremely happy with the purchase and the bonus $20 to use in the store!

I am so glad to have You Tube back for television viewing, like I said, Samsung dropped it. We like several things on You Tube (such as cooking, sermons, "how tos" on skiing--golf--watercolor--and Claire and the Crosbys!) Sometime we will explore the other features. For now, I am so glad that it is easy to use, and know ahead that you have to get an app and work with the instructions a bit.

Quick and easy to set up. Seems to have good antenna. I put it on a TV very far from my router and still picks it up and streams flawlessly. I'm very satisfied.

We have one of the older Chromecast units and love it! We decided to purchase a 2nd for another TV. The newer generation is just as wonderful and has less delay and freeze ups.

It's got support for 5Ghz bandwidth. So if you have a router which can work on 5Ghz as well. It's a good choice for less interference. But yeah if you already have a previous version of chromecast, doesnt make sense to upgrade it.

If you have a smart phone and a decent tv a chrome cast is a must have. The chrome cast makes it so easy to share your videos and photos with you have friends and family over.

I absolutely love this product. I have two in the house one is pretty close to the router and the other is a bit far away. The one that is far away sometimes cuts off in the middle of something. I love that I can stream anything to my TV from my phone or tablet it is extremely convenient. My favorite feature is using my phone as a volume control. I did not realize how nice that would be. I have recommended this to multiple friends and family members I think it is well worth the cost.

Most of the smart TVs are already support projecting screen from Apps. The device is very good to project laptop chrome browser as well which is needed to watch movies which do not exist on Netflix, Youtube etc.

This is the 3rd one I've purchased - loved my first one but gave it to my mother in law for her tv - got a second one for our tv and then got a second tv. I strongly recommend these nifty little things for anyone with an android device, and the number of apps you can use with the Chromecast feature grows seemingly every day - great product, very reliable, rarely have issues with it unless my ISP is down.

This is my 3rd Chromecast, and they keep getting better. Set up was super easy, and I don't know how, but the three don't get confused which monitor I want.

I love binge watching shows of all kinds, and my Smart TV (Sony X850C) has a lot of built in apps I use. One of my favorite genre is Anime, and unfortunately the Android TV OS does NOT have apps for Crunchyroll or Funimation, and the built in casting for the TV is sporadic when it recognizes my phone, and inconsistent when playing; losing sync between video and audio minutes in all the time. Luckily, the phone apps of Funimation and Crunchyroll have built in casting, and the Chromecast I bought here has great wifi antennas to keep a great connection. I am also on an Android device (Galaxy S7 and Nexus 5X), so the built in screen mirroring is great for watching videos from KissAnime's website on my TV without the clunky Opera Browser of my TV. If you're on Android especially, or even iOS and have apps that are not on your SMart TV or Smart Box platform, but have the casting option or you can screen mirror, I cannot recommend this enough!

I liked the extra space they gave it with the HDMI wire. It seems to have issues with holding down the stream over WiFi, restarts when I watch somethings for longer than One Hour .

The Chromecast is an great addition to my television viewing. I have added the Chromecast to my bedroom television, which is not a smart TV. When I initially bought the Chromecast, there were some apps I wanted to watch on Chromecast; however, they are not currently available in that format. That is why I gave it 4 stars rather than 5. It seems that new ones are being added all the time. I shall wait and see. Hopefully it is just a matter of time before my apps are added.

If you have not used any streamer devices this would be great starter. It's very intuitive and easy to set up and use. However, it hangs at times. Doesn't come with any native apps, therefore, somewhat limited use. If you use only strictly Youtube you can just cast it to your TV instead of using any of these streaming devices. Like I said if you never use any other streaming devices such as Roku or Apple TV, this will be a good introductory device to the world of streaming because it's cheap and easy to set up.

I originally bought this to play music through my receiver. I have a network ready Harmon Kardon receiver but I have so many songs that it takes forever to load the library and Bluetooth adapters are just as expensive so I just plugged it into one of my spare hdmi ports and then into the USB port on the back of my cable box and I'm good to go. Works great for everything and no more buffering like with gen 1.

I bought this to cast my phone on the screen in my car and it works well. I wish I could use the touch screen in the car instead of still having to use the phone screen, but I think that's an issue with my car.
