Chrome cast is awesome. Can cast pretty much anything from an Android device and a lot from an iPhone. One of the best values out there.

Absolutely love it to stream to my LG tv. I like that it does not have to be plugged into the wall outlet and the tv. It is easier to hide the device plugging it into the HDMI port and USB port. My biggest concern would be "glitching" because of the streaming from my phone to the tv, but this hasn't been an issue at all! Overall great device purchase. Definitely recommend!

At first I looked for the old one on sale but there was no more left. Staff showed me the new one and I bought it - I feel very happy with this new one.

This was an upgrade over my 1st Gen Chromecast. The sole fact that it supports the 5GHz band is well worth it. Definitely recommend it.

Chromecast is great, but it's important to understand what it does and does not do. It essentially does two things: (1) it plays media, triggered by another device (laptop, iPhone, Android tablet, etc.) and (2) it mirrors a Chrome browser session. What's important to understand is that, if you're in YouTube app on your phone and send a video to Chromecast, it doesn't play the video through your phone; rather, it takes a command from your phone, pulls up YouTube, and plays the video. That means that both your phone and the Chromecast need to have access to the Internet. Alternatively, you can use the mirroring feature through a browser window, in which case, only your casting device requires access to the Internet. This is important to understand when traveling on guest networks and when considering Chromecast for cord-cutting. Essentially, what Chromecast does is turn a dumb TV or a monitor into a smart TV. As more TVs come with Fire, Roku, Google, etc. built-in, a Chromecast will only be needed if you prefer the Google interface over what comes built-in. Still technologically amazing how much Google does with a tiny USB-powered device.

I got this for my new smart TV because it allows me to turn the tv on with my Google Home Mini. It is good for casting to the tv also.

Bought item on clerk recommendation. Once connected to wifi it works great. If you want to change the wifi source it is a pain and not easy or convienient.

My husband was thrilled to receive this CHROMECAST. Truthfully, I know nothing about it, but got it because he wanted it. He loves it,

it is great. i use it all the time the only thing i don't like is that its has to use the wifi and sometimes the wifi isn't fast enough to stream shows. other than that i have had no problems with it.
