I purchased this because I wanted to be able to connect my $2500 smart TV to my Google home. But I have used them on every TV i own and they have to be the best device ever made. But the only purpose of this purpose of this purchase was so I could turn my very expensive TV on and off with my assistant.

For some reason, Netflix buffers constantly. I researched all the forums, and set up the router correctly to no avail. The worst part about this product is the support. For instance, once you set it up, you'll notice it has an error message that hundreds of people are posting about. But Google support simply asks you to do all the stupid things like resetting to manufacturer's settings, unplugging it, etc. -Not all YouTube videos can be aired on your tv through this device. It says so, right on YouTube. ****If you take it with you to a hotel, you have to reset it to manufacturer's settings and set it up all over again because you've switched networks. And even then, it might not work because this thing is super finnicky about the router settings. So, if you live in an apartment, or are locked into some configuration due to AT&T or Comcast, it will not work very well, or at all in some scenarios. To confirm this, even the "tech" on the forum told me this is true.*** - The audio quality is worse than the audio your own smart TV provides. Even with the home theater hookup, you'll notice it. Depending on your android device - even with the same unit, plugged into the same TV - the experience is different. I have gone through the trial with 3 different Android (lollipop) devices, and two Apple devices. The performance differed for all of the devices. Save yourself the trouble and get any other device. Roku Stick, Roku, Apple Tv... just don't go this route. Unless resetting, waiting and uninstalling apps (over and over again) is your thing, then be my guest. I have it in the guest bedroom and have one dedicated spare phone to run this thing. I don't bother moving it. So, it rarely gets used.

Can stream from any apple/android devices where Chromecast is supported. Amazon Prime app does not support Chromecast, but you can open Chrome browser and stream Amazon Prime from there. Besides my PCs, this is my most used tech product. We (family) use it everyday. Did not give it a 5 because it requires rebooting once in a while. The family learned how to do it so not a big deal.

The new versión of Chromecast functions the same as the former one, but improves speed using newer WiFi standards, the design is better too.

This google chrome cast was a joy. It enable me to see and enjoy my lab top and tv. look this equipment. So colorful and reliable than wifi.

Does a good job with the Android phones. Limited uses from the apps on the iphone. Like the product for sharing from my samsung phone to the TV.

The devise did not sync up the way that I expected it do from the instructions. But it has been great to be able to cast stuff to the big screen.

I was amazed how easy it is to cast anything on You Tube to my HD TV. Plug it in, download the app to your iPhone, Android phone, Mac or Android Tablets and more then watch till your eyes bleed. You won't get enough of You Tube with this puppy. I'd absolutely recommend this to anyone who wants to watch You Tube and more on the big screen.

We have two of the older Chromecast dongles and have always had intermittent problems staying connected ... or even getting connected without restarting the Chromecast. Since installing this new version, we have reliable and quick connections. In fact, this is probably what will convince us to finally say goodbye to the hated Comcast.

Fast & Stable. Easy to cast from any of my devices.

It works great for all the HD tv's, though it may not work for 4K tv's. There is no problem with the device, It works great.

We have this with the Google Home Mini and LOVE it!!! We like the abilities we now have with it and are having a lot of fun.

The Chromecast works well and connected to wi-fi with ease. I should have bought one with a remote since it was a gift for my mom and she isn't very savvy using her smart phone as a remote.

Easy setup. Great for movie streaming media like netflix and hulu

I've been a Chromecast advocate since they launched. Rather than using a remote and some slow smart tv software, the Chromecast allows you to use your smartphone, tablet, or chrome browser to stream live TV, Youtube, Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Crunchyroll, and even your own videos from your mobile device or network media server. It's a must have for any TV.

Easy set up, it's great streaming on TV instead of my cell phone.

I have both the Chromecast and the Amazon Firestick as they were both received as birthday gifts in the same week. I like them both, but the one area where the chromecast exceeds the firestick is that I can use it to watch CBS shows without CBS full access, using the CBS app on my phone. In all other areas they are comparable with each other.

If you are looking for a device to connect your cell-phone/laptop... with your TV wirelessly you should consider this device.

Helps us to share pictures/music on the TV. We are now thinging of getting another one just to stream movies in the basement.
