I had the original Chromecast and really liked it. This simply improves on everything. Dual band support, faster loading etc.

I love my chromecast. Hope for more windows compatability other than just via chrome. Works flawlessly with my Galaxy Tab s2.

I know 2nd Gen have better than 1st Gen in several technical features, but I feel it is almost the same. I like both, but I would say go with 1st Gen if the price is less.

Works like advertised. Only wise I could just stream from my ipad no matter the application....Like the AMC app wont stream.

I got this to replace the 1st generation Chrome Cast I gave to my parents this summer. I thought the 2nd generation will be better in all ways. The design is improved and looks more like Google logo. The power consumption seems to be better (I used to run it from USB power bank some times) but there is a major change I noticed. The buffering isn't that good as in the 1st gen. So I looked for the specs online and I found out that Google took most of the buffering memory out, This would work really fine if your internet is fast enough. for slow internet (even streaming locally) it would take forever buffering-playing simultaneously... Thing I didn't have with the old Chrome Cast. Other than that, the same like the 1st gen. The Google Chrome Cast is a great device to add to your TV.

I have a smart TV that was no longer accessing the native streaming apps it came with, and this device has made the TV even better than when it was new! Super easy to set up and use. I also love that I can continue using my phone for anything I want while it casts what I want to watch on the TV.

Bought this for my daughter to watch her YouTube videos on the TV. She LOVES it. We cut off her satellite TV, b/c this is all she watches now. Definitely worth the price. No issues with set up or anything. Works like it is supposed to. This is our second one we have purchased for multiple TV's.

Very good chromecast , nice color and size, easy installation

Amazon firestick is way better but the chromcast does have some cool features. Didn't break the bank so it's a good alternative.

I enjoy the google chrome streams great. I also like how you can stream from PC. Only disadvantage is you cell phone is the remote and it seems to drain the battery more.

This was a great investment for us to watch movies.

The Chromecast delivers on it's promise to stream many programs sources pretty flawlessly but you need a wifi connection to use. This is not just for setup but for any connection to your TV. If you have downloaded, for example, a Netflix program onto your phone and wish to stream it to your tv, you must have a wifi connection. If you have the wifi, the operation and quality is fine.

Easy to use, access to all the apps I was looking for!

I went into the store trying to decide between a Fire Stick, Roku and Chromecast. The Best Buy employee recommended the Chromecast but ultimately, it was my decision to purchase. After trying all three, I like the Roku the best. The Chromecast loses connection often and is extremely glitchy when mirroring content from my phone and laptop's Chrome.

Got these to set up a network at my father-in-laws home. He was looking for a way to run his computer and have the display show on any TV in the house. Enter Chromecast. 5 minutes at each TV and I had him walking around like the freaking future. Any TV. BAM! Russian soap operas! It was terrifying. But get this product.

Works great! Had no issues connecting to my devices. I liked this product so much I bought one for every room.

I have been an AppleTV guy for a while, but I wanted to try out YouTube TV and it isn't available on iOS. So, I bought Chromecast and I'm impressed. I like the minimalist design and it's very easy to hook up. My only beef, and I don't know if this is a casting issue from iPad or what, but there is some judder when watching sports (could be a TV issue as well). Nonetheless, highly recommended.

Can anyone say awesome!!! Originally I was pretty sceptical about about this product. I must say I was pleasantly surprised.

Easy to use but need some research on how to best make the Chromecast most effective (e.g. great apps that stream to Chromecast, Chrome plugin for direct stream from browser, editable settings for manual network traffic, etc.) For the beginner, pretty easy to get going for what most people will use it for at this price.
