The Chromecast delivers on it's promise to stream many programs sources pretty flawlessly but you need a wifi connection to use. This is not just for setup but for any connection to your TV. If you have downloaded, for example, a Netflix program onto your phone and wish to stream it to your tv, you must have a wifi connection. If you have the wifi, the operation and quality is fine.

I have a smart TV that was no longer accessing the native streaming apps it came with, and this device has made the TV even better than when it was new! Super easy to set up and use. I also love that I can continue using my phone for anything I want while it casts what I want to watch on the TV.

This lets me see the videos I'm watching and hear the music I'm playing online directly through my TV. Many apps and websites are adopting the Chromecast tech so you should be able to stream almost anything you watch on a mobile device to your TV via Chromecast, but make sure you check for compatibility first.

My son gets the most use of this...however I recently purchased a TV with ChromeCast built in and did NOT like it. Call me old, but I don't believe I should NEED my phone out to watch TV. The remote that came with the TV was pathetic. This gadget gives you the option to use your phone while still having a decent remote for your TV when not casting. Recommended purchase for households with teens.

Bought this for my daughter to watch her YouTube videos on the TV. She LOVES it. We cut off her satellite TV, b/c this is all she watches now. Definitely worth the price. No issues with set up or anything. Works like it is supposed to. This is our second one we have purchased for multiple TV's.

I replaced my first gen Chromecast with this guy because I needed something with 5ghz wifi. Device works great!

Would give 5 stars but there has been a few times it hasn't picked up the wifi signal or take a few minutes to connect. But when it does connect, it is so great to have.

It does the job of casting perfectly. Combined with the amazing apps support and also chrome plugin doing much better than previous versions now, can not ask for more. The iOS has issues sometime with the volume like when you receive a call when casting the volume goes up to the call volume and is bit irritating.

This product is very Easy to use. It is Very affordable and a great find for the cost.

This is a great product, especially for traveling. I do wish there was a small dedicated remote available as well. Jumping back onto your phone is not always convenient.

At around $30, the Chrome Cast is one of the best values out there. It has a ton of features and is very simple to set up. The only drawbacks are it's limited compatibility with Apple products, but this is surely more of an issue with Apple not wanting to lose AppleTV customers to Chrome Cast. Also, it can be a little challenging to get a Windows PC/Laptop to do a complete screen share, but it can be done.

I bought this along with the Insignia 32 inch TV for a 2nd set in our home for our kids. This is awesome for basic streaming for Hulu, YouTube and Netflix considering those are the main apps we use for our kids. I had no problem connecting this device or any issues with mirroring it. Love it, no complaints so far.

Chromecast is great! It slows m to use my phone and watch my favorite shows at the same time! I just love it!

The Chromecast works just great. Love to be able to watch TV programs we don't get with Cable.....most often these are in HD. Using Chromecast Apps is easy and quite reliable listening.. chromecast is a reliable video streamer with a very basic user interface that result in a pleasant experience.

Was set up by a relative. I'm not technically inclined. It seems to work well and does what is supposed to do.
