Bought for my son who is at school and like to watch videos. Now he can broadcast from his phone to the tv/laptop.

I ruined my first one that I had for years (long story) and needed another one. This was very easy to set up and use. It's great to use from your laptop which is easier to type than using a Roku up with an onboard screen which takes forever to type!. Buy the Chromecast!

This is great for casting things from your Android phone or Chromebook to a TV, but the only annoying thing compared to a similar device like Amazon Fire TV (which I also own) is that there is no physical remote. You need to use your device to control it. Would be nice if it could work independent from a device, like the Fire TV. But other than that, it works fine.

Since my you tube app on my tv no longer work. Chromecast in #1 source can replace the app. My kid can even watch more than before. I like it.

Chromecast is easy to install and easy to use. I like how it is no longer like a memory stick. My previous Chromecast was a memory stick and it broke off as it was too close to the edge of the cabinet. This item allows you to cast almost anything onto your TV at the push of a button!

The chromecast basically allows a non-smart TV to have similar features to smart TVs. It's a very handy device. Setup is sometimes troublesome or connecting isnt that straightforward when it disconnects. Some things can't be cast and you may only cast through a Chrome browser. That being said, it's really handy being able to cast things in HD to your TV.

I’m so glad i have this now because i can watch movies whenever and wherever i am. It is very handy.

Not bad. Prefer the Romu but this is much cheaper. I only wish I could block the device from using Google DNS servers.

great replacement for the original. can control with the google home, but it takes getting used to.

I was looking for a way to cast from my portable devices (phone, tablet) to the big screen. Very easy to use. Sometimes has a little buffering and the audio on the TV is behind the audio on the casting device. If you are closer to your Wi-Fi router, the results are close to excellent. A great substitute for a smart TV and very affordable as well.

I bought this for a present as I have one and liked it so much, I can cast screen from my laptop or phone to my TV

This Chromecast is by far the best new product I have purchased all year. I can cast any show I watch on my cellphone to my Sony XBR55" TV without any hesitation. Comes in crisp and clear as well. It's like having a remote in my pocket and the convenience of it is wonderful. Can't live with it now!

I wanted to increase my screen size viewing and it definitely did the trick! Now I can watch live streaming cams in great detail without having to be tied to one spot! I was advised by many people that this was an excellent, simple, inexpensive option to be able to watch on my TV and it works!

Fantastic device if you plan on turning your TV into a smart TV with controls straight from your phone. However, the interface is still not as smooth as the Amazon FireTV, but if you want to have the ability to cast from your computer or your cellphone, ChromeCast is the way to go. Highly recommend it.

Works great!! I have 3 of these in my home. And now that the new model has an input for soundbar it's even better

Purchased this to be able to stream family pictures or movies to a secondary TV. Then discovered that when idle, the Chromecast cycles through an amazing array of photographs, so leave the TV on all the time, as an art display frame. Cast when we want, lovely art when we aren't. Great job, Google!

Have purchased three so far. Son uses it in his room. We have used this to replace one of our receivers as well.

This is an amazing product whenever you have a non smart tv or even with a smart tv its very useful.
