The new Chromcast is a great inspensive device for streaming video content from the Internet or a PC directly to an HDMI equipped TV or monitor. The new model works with both 2.4 GHz and 5.0 GHz WiFi. Its easily controlled from an iOS or Android app or from the Chrome browser using the Google Cast plugin

I bought this because it had the new 5.0 GHz WiFi and it said that performance had been improved. Well they're not lying, the performance of the unit is much better and it works great. Also, the new design works better for me because it's a dongle style instead of having to use an extension USB cable.

Great for when you want to make whatever you are watching on your phone bigger by putting it on your tv screen.

PERFECT PRODUCT goes very well with my google Home mini and is good to watch YouTube and Netflix

This chromecast is of New style. This has a power adapter as well.not sure that is better than old chromecast.

I got the new model to replace the previous generation chromecast I had and works just as well if not better.

It works just as advertised and honestly is even better than I could have imagined. I was really surprised that it knew that I started streaming something to it and automatically changed the input setting of my tv to the hdmi slot the chromecast was in. Really cool gadget at a very reasonable price.

This chromecast improves over the 1st gen. Better reception and a better look. Overall a good add to any home.

It works better then the org. Especially because you can connect anything to it. I love it worth every penny.

I needed this item to stream video from my laptop to TV with a plug & play interface. It, so far, has given me no issues and allows me to do what I needed easily and in one step versus having to use 5 different buggy applications. One star taken away for its size. While still very small it is bigger than I would like to have stored behind my TV (about the diameter of an orange) .

Got this as a gift for my brother and his fiance after I purchased one. I like that you can watch HBO Go after signing in with your provider info, and any other program that has an app. Just streams right to your TV. Looking forward to the 4K one when more apps and features are available for 4K

Gives great versatility to what you can watch on TV. Have enjoyed viewing pictures from my phone and Netflix.

Very easy to set up and use with either android phone or iPad. I really like the ability to link my photos that can be used as a sideshow when not viewing programs. Only things I wish I could do is listen through my phone on Bluetooth so I could turn the sound off the TV.

Had an issue getting it set up as it is different from our last cheomecast stick. Works well now.

This device allows your Android devices to stream wirelessly to your TV directly or via your home stereo amplifier. My kids love it because they can play YouTube videos from their tablets on the TV or they enjoy playing they video games from their tablet while their siblings watch them play on the TV.

Stopped using my Amazon stick now use Chromecast so awesome that I even picked up a Google home.

Great small device. Easy to use. But a little bit slow.

After being introduced to Chromecast by my brother, I found it an essential tool to use when streaming shows from YouTube, Hulu, and Netflix. It helped me get rid of the expensive Satellite bill now that I can use streaming to entertain myself and my family at home.

No major improvement from the previous model it's a must have for viewing you tube from your phone or Netflix

Simple, elegant, wonderful convenience. I have one on every TV in the house. It's a life changer.
