Very nice to have this for any Internet TV viewer to play from other devices.....like laptop, mobile...etc

Allows us to watch many channels without using the laptop, saving wear and tear and producing less heat. Wish we could get MsNBC though

This amazing portable device is just the right size to fit into a purse or small pouch. It's lightweight and pack amazing strength as it easily connects to any tv making your online streaming apps the remotes! You can literally travel light and never miss an episode of your favorite choice!

One of our devices did not function of the ones we ordered, but that was just a defective unit. Over all this streaming media device works just fine.

We have not use this product yet as it is a Christmas gift for my son. We have heard good things about it, hoping it works as stated.

Had some issues with initial setup. It used to get stuck while upgrading software, but once i was able to fix that issue it has been a great gadget.

I got the Chromecast so I had more flexibility to watch what I want from any TV in the house. It's especially great for older TV's that don't have that ability built-in. Now I can cast Netflix directly to that device, view photos or videos on a big screen for everyone to enjoy, or just have a large screen to view my Android devices on.

Chromecast and phones go together perfectly. Along with a google home this is a perfect pair

We had the first generation chromecast and decided to get this one. The connection to Netflix and Hulu seem to load much faster than the other one.

I am writing this review nearly four years after buying this. This device still works as intended. I rarely have problems from it. If not, check the app or service being used with it. Highly recommend it if your looking for a simple device to play videos and music on a display. No UI. Just your phone as the remote

I already had the previous Chromecast and I wanted a take advantage of the dual band AC router that I have. While streaming PS Vue on the 1st gen Chromecast I would get buffering or pixel issues. After buying this 2nd gen and hooking up to PS vue, I was getting consistent HD without buffer.

Steaming from PC or Mobile This device works well for streaming photos & non hd videos from PCs and mobile. If thats your requirement, there is no other equivalent. It does not stream full hd videos from PC properly. Steaming from Web: It does Youtube and some google servers. It does not work for Amazon. If your objective is live tv streaming, look elsewhere.
