We purchased this device to watch movies from our phones or tablets on the television,. It is a great device and we have one in each of our rooms.

It works as advertised. I like the way it will change the source in the Tv when you cast.

I absolutely love this product. It adds the capability to watch YouTube and other application to your TV. I have an older LCD from 2008 that supports HDMI. That’s essentially all you need for the device. Power and an HDMI port. Set up was a bit rough. it would say fail to be setup, but after a couple more tries it works fine.

I bought it as a gift for my niece for Christmas...she's happy...

Always been a fan of Google Chromecast and this more updated version is no disappointment

Works extremely well! Im pretty happy with the purchase and got it while on sale for 25 bucks would be well worth it at 40. Watch anything from your phone to the tv including apps. Would highly recommend much better than the samsung streaming smart tv stuff i was dealing with.

This has to be the only thing I love that is android. Anything I try to cast works. Apple TV is to restrictive, and I just couldn't cast to a Microsoft because for some reason my tablet resolutions is giving it an issue. With Chromecast I nev r had anything I couldn't get to work with it.

I am poorly literate with IT so usually have to get son to help transition from laptop to big screen otherwise performs as intended

I had purchased a 1st Gen Chromecast and that worked perfect for streaming Netflix, Hulu, Vudu, CBS, HBO GO...etc. decided to pickup another for a different room. easy setup. you can change the name so you know what chromecast you're connecting to if you have multiple. love this product

I keep making my wife go "Oooh!" when I show her more features. I used to have a HTPC attached, but she wouldn't touch it. Now, she can stream movies and music with the touch of a button. My 10 year constantly is showing us YouTube video from her devices. Insanely handy!

Less one star because it lacks the remote. sometimes its more convenient to use the remote. Amazon Firestick is better in that case

This is one of the most efficient product which i bought and make use fully. It casts almost everything, no restrictions like amazon firestick. I had been using one such device for past 2 years and never faced any issue. Bought this again as a gift. Go for it!

Having used multiple streaming platform, chrome cast has been the most easy and reliable.

Didn’t know what to expect purchasing this. Originally went in store to purchase a similar device. Bought this instead. Half the price and works great. I have I phone and practically works with every app. Step by step setup. Fairly easy to install. Highly recommended

I got the Chromecast because I thought it would be convenient and I wouldn't have to use an hdmi cord to view my computer on my TV but it was much better than I expected. It's very convenient and for $35 I can a tally afford to get one for every room of the house. I use it every single day.

V simple to plugin and setup. Just one click and your laptop starts casting to tv from your chrome browser. No more hassle of keeping laptop next to tv and connecting HDMI cables. Its all wifi. My kid is so happy that I can play whatever he wants from my phone/laptop directly to tv

Very easy to set up and now my children are enjoying their smart TV and I didn't have to buy a new tv.

Although it does come with new features and a very nice sleek design, it could use some work with the apps that are compatible with other devices.
