Must Have for every TV

Most smart features on TVs are terrible and this unit gives you better control and options straight from your phone. Works casting from iPhone or Android, so highly recommended!

easy, simple set up for me and I am not that good

Switching back and forth to cast on and cast of is effecient and simple to do. I dont have a smart TV so the google device was and is ideal for our home entertainment situation. It is inexpensive and as I said, easy to install

Best alternative

Well I saved myself a few hundred dollars and it's the best alternative in my opinion to a smart tv. So I bought 1 for my mother and brother for their televisions also

Great at home or traveling

We specifically wanted the "casting" feature and are delighted with the ability to watch our US favorites when we're traveling.

Turned my TV into a smart TV

I really like chromecast I have one in every room. Same for my parents and their house, they have one for every TV in the house. Compatibility across many apps.

Love casting, but has a few hiccups
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.If you pair with a Google Home/Mini, its really cool to ask google to play something on the tv: music, videos, etc. But casting from your phone can have some challenges when the "Cast" icon doesn't appear to let you actually do it. We found a fix of turning the phone's wifi off, then on again.........at least most of the time it works.

Great but only without wifi

Chromecast is Awesome

Very simple to set up and it works great with Google Home. It will turn on my TV and play music or apps just from voice command. Your phone is your remote control if you don't have Goggle Home. Highly recommend.

Good Product

Has done everything we have needed it to do so far. Only issue I am having, is when I stop casting, sometimes my tv volume does not work. I need to turn off my tv and turn back and on the volume returns. No idea what is causing this to happen?

Chromecast

I just watched on utube on how to install on Chromecast. However I do recommend the Chromecast for cell/laptop/tablets screen to tv site. Chromecast does not have extra channels that you can add like roku does.

There are imitations out there but decided to buy the real thing because saw the reviews of the imitations with many people complaining. I got this product for my dad because he loves music. It's great to view you tube videos on high definition large televisions.

It's easy to setup and very easy to use. The only issue is your home network bandwidth. If you have several people on your home network the connection can be a bit spotty. Other than that it is a great purchase with great customer service.
