Excellent product but at times, it needs to be rebooted to be connected via Wifi.

Chromecast has more and more apps that can cast from the phone, a tablet, or a computer. It is really simple to use. With a google home, and a Netflix account, you can tell google to cast a movie or show, and it plays automatically.

Wr have an apple to downstairs, but we got this for my mother in law since she uses an android phone. The chrome cast has been much better for her to use her content on the same TV. The lower price made it an easy second streamer.

Plugged it in. Installed it. No problem. It performs as advertised.

Since Samsung has made YouTube TV unavailable on their smart TVs, we decided to try to use the Chromecast. Perfect-we just cast from our phones and we're all set. The setup is simple and quick, and we have had no issues.

I am truly impressed with the ease and use of Chromecast. Truly, a great value.

Only thing wrong is there's no AirPlay, like there is on Apple TV. So I ended up return chrome and purchesing Apple TV

Bought as a gift for my son. He can use it to cast shows or movies from his phone onto the TV in his room. He likes it.

The Chromecast is great. Setup was simple. Hooked it right up to my system and its all but plug and play, just connect it to wi Fi. I use the ESPN app and watch soccer and my girlfriend regularly watch Netflix off of it too. I've never had a problem!

This device is plug and play and made the person who I got it for a lot happier.

Great product for casting videos from YouTube and others sites. Especially for those no smart tvs owners.

Simple and must have. I have an AppleTV, Roku and Fire Stick....this stumps them all! Instead of using an app on AppleTV, and then another on Roku, or FireStick for compatible issues with cable/service provider, this simplifies it.

Works good. Can connect to tv and watch different shows on the apps.

For sure, now my non-smart tv has become smart. And I am loving it.

This is my first casting device and it was a breeze to set up and use. Has the occasional hiccup where it disconnects from my device and won't pause right when I want it to, but that's about it.

I have owned this device for well over a year and it has generally been reliable. The only times it was not reliable was when my 5Ghz Wifi signal was moved further away from it (router downstairs, it upstairs) where the reception was to low for it to function (perform it's job) properly. If your 5Ghz WiFi signal is weak where you intend to use it then you would be best to add a 5Ghz range extender someplace between the wireless router and this device. This is especially so if your home is older and has lead paint on the walls and/or ceiling. The lead blocks such signals and will prevent proper functionality of it. Again, a 5Ghz booster/repeater/extender would be needed for homes with lead paint on the walls and/or ceilings. Use a cell phone, computer or tablet with a 5Ghz WiFi connection and test the connection where it will be. If around 50% signal strength then it should work. If not then add a 5Ghz booster/repeater/extender between it and your wireless router.
