We have mainly apple devices at home and we were always looking for the lightening adapter (since we all kinda share one). Since everyone needed it at home, one of my family member bought this and it works very well! Now we don't have to fight for the lightening adapter anymore because we have this at home and I can just send my video to TV with my phone without plugging anything in.

I've been using the Chromecast for a couple months now and have had 0 issues. However, initial setup took longer than anticipated as it turns out you can not get surround sound out of this using an optical audio cable (An all HDMI setup works fine). Overall I am pleased with the device and now have 2 of them.

The chromecast is one of the most dead simple streaming devices on the market. The new model improves on the last with better wi-fi connectivity. So inexpensive, and yet so useful in a variety of situations. Whether at home, in a hotel, or in the office, this little guy is beneficial when you want to share things on the big screen.

The new improved Google Chromecast is perfect. It works every time and has not had any issues. It is so easy to set up, but the best part is the way the dongle is made so it can be hooked up to a TV that is flat against the wall. Our old one gets extremely hot and will freeze sometimes. We have not had any issues with this new one.

I own the original Chromecast and this updated dongle is just as good, if not better. The inclusion of WiFi AC was a must and makes load times easy. The HDMI cable is also a lot more flexible and helps avoid fatigue on your TV's HDMI input, as other heavy cables do. If you own the original, get this one, because it's still only $35!

Installed and streaming within 5 minutes! Great clarity

Its an excellent product from google and is used to project your laptop chrome page to a Television. Not only chrome but also it is useful to cast videos from Facebook and YouTube directly. In addition the service of best buy is appreciable in delivering the product in advance to the given delivery date.

I bought 2 of these for Christmas presents this year. I have the older model myself which was decent. This one is much better in speed and connection. So long as you have decent wifi, this thing is magic. You can get basically any tv/movie streaming option except for Amazon video. The functionality on the phone apps is great too.

I love this item. Pairs easily with my iPad and Galaxy Tab S. I really wanted it so that I could take it and travel with which it does very well. Connects to my slingbox via my tablets very easily and offers everything I have at home. My only dislike is that it had an offer for $20 play store credit but I have yet to see how to redeem it. That is why only 4 stars. If that were easier to handle it would of been 5

Product is easy to set up and great to make any regular HD tv into a smart TV

I use chrome and have a large TV and this product is just perfect for broadcasting the screen from time to time. If you're way too much into youtube then this is a must have but if you just want to mirror your laptop or computer screen on your large TV then this product has the perfect price point for it to be worth the purchase.

I can notice a difference now in buffering and quality of stream now due to the enhanced electronics and bigger accessory. You can power this unit via a usb port on your TV. No need to use the adapter.

i recently got a TV. eventhough my TV had screen share where i can cast my mobile and watch stuff. still i got chrome cast because i feel chrome cast is little faster than that. thats just my feeling. i just got it for $20 this thanks giving and it fits my need. its worth the money spent and i love it.

I've used this a few times, to share a desktop on a TV or cast streamed content from my tablet to the TV. So far there have been no real issues with it. Everything streams smoothly. It's great for catching programming that's hard to find outside of the internet, without having to actually hook up a device directly to your TV.

I have 2 of the first generation models and I love them. I bought one of these second gens for a new TV and at first I loved everything about this new version. I love the new look, I think it's much more appealing to look at. The flexible wire between the HDMI out and the Chromecast body also feels much more stable than the original, which I always feel is one clumsy mistake away from being destroyed. On plugging the Chromecast in it worked well. Setup was quicker than I remember and it required little effort from plug in to watching Netflix. About a month later, though, I started to notice the Chromecast would shut off and restart while watching anything on it. I tried different apps, I tried different power sources, I even tried power cycling it. Nothing worked. What did work was switching to one of my first generation models. It doesn't look like this is a issue that's rampant across these models because I couldn't find much information online, but it's still a bad experience for me. Because of this, I could not recommend this model to a friend.

Set up is easy. Faster than the first generation chromecast. Definitely worth the price.
