When I first purchased Chromecast 6 months ago I did not thin I was going to use it that much, This is my second device, and I have not yet been able to explore its full new capabilities. But I definitely use it all the time, casting from my phone, my tablet,, my laptop, to any of my Smart TVs in the house. A smart buy!

Definitely works better than the original Chromecast model. Better internet connection while it supports both 2.4 and 5gHz bandwidth. It didn't drop casting via Google cast nearly as much and even sports lower end network speeds. Both unlike the first model. It also comes in three colors (red, yellow, black) now if that matters to you. Another fun addition is the magnet to hold the cord to unit.

My absolute favorite tech purchase in the past two years. I use my Chromecast every single day. The Netflix, Google Play, etc. options work perfectly for me. And I am still astonished by the price for this product. I also travel a lot for work and it's great to be able to take my Chromecast with me to different hotels.

Received fast. Setup was super fast and easy. Casting and mirroring worked perfect the 1st day. But then the 2nd day, casting worked but mirroring didn't. Then the 3rd day neither worked. So I researched the internet and the 1st and easiest solution was to unplug my modem and router for a minute and let them reboot. And it worked !!! I was thrilled such a simple fix actually worked. And it's been working great ever since. Sometimes I have to leave the tv and go do something in another room for a few minutes so I switch to the Chromecast to put very nice pictures on the screen. So when I walk past the tv again it's always a different picture.

We needed this while staying at a hotel to watch the shows we're used to at home. The beauty of this device is whatever you can watch streamed to your Android device it will then broadcast to your TV using the Chromecast. I only lowered this to 4 stars because I had some difficulty getting it setup but it was mainly due to the hotel's Internet security policy. I called their tech support and I was able to get it working. So if you want to watch YouTube, Netflix, and more on the go and not rely on a laptop with HDMI out or your Mobile or tabley screen, their works very well especially for the price. If you need something more robust that stands alone, you can get a fire TV stick or Roku; raspberry pi or similar for advanced users. But owning all of those except the fire stick The Chromecast Has found a place in our life as our go to travel media center.

Needed to cast source material from various devices and apps. So far works well with all I have tried. Cannot make comparisons as this is only device I have used for this purpose. Installation was easy as is using the device. app is also user friendly. Would recommend to anyone looking for a simple casting solution.

This is my second unit. I am using also the previous model. This 2015 model, connects easier and works wonderfully. I can connect from any place in the house with no problem. I move it from one TV set to another in different rooms, I don't need to reset Wi-Fi code. I highly recommend it to a friend and to anybody.

The new Google Chrome works beautifully, and costs less then competing products. While it doesn't have a remote (a plus for me) it can be controlled from any smart device, like an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone. It uses 802.11ac (dual band) wi-fi, so the picture is clear and smooth. I highly recommend this product.

Easy connection to WiFi. Initially had it hooked up to a HDMI switch but was constantly on which whenever I turned on any of my TV's it was always the device auto-selected. I moved it to a TV HDMI input and used the USB cable to power it so that when I turned on my TV the TV went to the last Input selected and the Chromecast is only on when my TV is on then if I want to use it I just select the HDMI Input that it is connected to. The unit surface does get pretty warm to the touch but without measuring the surface temperature not sure if it would exceed the maximum surface temp of 50C, 122F for consumer electronics. So far used it for free viewing of mostly You Tube videos. I use AT&T 24Mbs service and it has not lagged or buffered. Video quality is as good as the source that it is displaying. 4 star rating due to the surface temperature.

Chromecast works great if you want to put whatever you are watching from your Chrome browser. It also works great from phone apps that support Chromecast. It's pretty easy to set up, too. Not complicated at all to set up or to use. Even novice tech users should be able to figure this out.

Great tiny unit with its own HDMI connector and wifi connection. Simple initial setup using Chromecast app on the phone/tablet. Wish the power cable (USB-microUSB) was a tad longer but you can substitute it with another cable. I use it primary for picture/video show and tell at home or viewing movies on the road.

I didn't think I'd notice the difference between the old 2.4 GHz model, but this Chromecast model let's you use 5 GHz, if your system supports it, and what a better streaming experience! Also comes with an AC adapter for older TVs not equipped with a USB connection. Well worth the upgrade!

the Google Chromecast (2015 Model) works well and does so at an affordable price.

I love this thing. Great for my TV, since it is not a smart TV, and even on my Smart TV, it seems easier to play Netflix on this from my phone, than to work through the menu on the TV. I recommend this highly, I have even bought 2 more. **Best Buy was clearing out the older version for $20 in the Outlet section.

After recently buying a new Sony TV that had built in chrome cast we wanted that same functionality on our bedroom TV, an older Sony with no smart TV features. Installing the new Chromecast on an HDMI port was relatively easy, although using the website link provided in the instructions did not work. We were eventually able to configure the new device using recently downloaded Google Home on our phone and then stream from Allcast to the bedroom TV. We haven't downloaded any apps yet to the Chromecast device yet, and not even sure we will, since using Youtube, Netflix, etc. on our phones and then casting to the device works just fine.

I wanted to show a non-stop slide show of digital family photos. Using this device, in conjunction with a 24" TV and flicr.com was perfect! Now, when the family and guests see an interesting photo while we are sitting in the family room, we all start going back-down-memory lane, which is exactly what I wanted.

Got a new Chromecast Audio device this week. Setup was easy and it works great! Latest firmware was installed to the device. I love the new Chromecast Audio! Works with many apps like Google Play Music, Pandora, Tunein, NPR One, and Pocket Casts. Multi room casting is now supported for Chromecast Audio! Sweet!

I reviewed ROKU & Chromcast and some others. I liked the price vs performance. the reviews were good. 30 bucks is not a big commitment for good or bad. But this was good. It does what i need it to do. I use it cast my tablet to my TV. It works.
