We now own 4 of these and only have 3 Tv's. Super easy to setup, even easier to tap the cast button on your device with so many apps. The extra one we bought to keep with our luggage for use when we travel instead of just having hotel tv. Highly recommend.

Not quite as convenient as a fire stick but they do the job and for the most part. Every now and then phone looses connectivity with it while playing something and requires you to play around some to get working again but overall its a nice little gadget.

I have a first generation Chromecast. I bought the second generation for home and took the old one to work. That made it very obvious that the design of the second generation is much better. Having a flat cord to put a little distance from the TV is huge. Wish there were more apps compatible but being able to cast the entire screen is pretty good.

Initial setup was very easy although I have several Audio and video components in my home system. Connection by guests who have music/videos and pictures on their personal devices or from their online storage services was also very easy. On the negative side is that sometimes it's cumbersome operating the media source once displayed, using the app.

Compared to other casting devices, Chrome cast is surely easier to use. With the ability to cast anything on the internet through chrome browser, makes it a good option. However, it has been crashing a lot these days, i read a lot of blogs on the support site as well reporting the same. Other than that it is pretty good

We were introduced to chromecast when on vacation in apartment in Argentina. It gave us english language entertainment the whole time. So on return we bought this and use it with a tv at home. When not on youtube, netflix etc we get the fabulous photos from chrome. We love it.

I had the original chromecast on my main television and it worked great. I recently purchased the newer version and now I have the option to put it on the faster network (5.0Ghz) and it streams is fast and smooth. I have family members who will be getting this for Christmas...

To be honest there is not much difference from the original but this new Chromecast dies provide more room if you have cramped HDMI ports. Everything feels faster as well. This wouldn't be worth an upgrade if the value wasn't still as great as the first version. Good update.

We love the newer Chromecast. We have the older version upstairs on our television. The new one seems to register quicker and have less issues timing out so it is improved. I highly recommend this to someone who is looking to have access to the internet on their television.

Have first generation device for one TV and it works pretty well so wanted one for another TV. I got the newer model for a few extra bucks, assuming that newer is better. Operation seems similar but the newer one seemed easier to setup and experiences less wifi buffer delays.

Simple and easy to set up. For the price you can't beat it. Set up to stream from my phone and tablet. I have both android and Apple products too and worked with both.

Bought this chromecast as I like to stream movies and music a lot on my TV. Barely use my remote anymore. And also, when i’m not using it, the screen on my TV doesn’t just stay still, but instead it shows me high quality images to keep me entertained!

You cant beat this for the price and ease of setup. I have several all over the house now and always ready to go to broadcast anything from a phone, tablet, pc to any TV in the house. Great for slide shows, pictures, videos, TV, movies etc....We even use them as art display on the larger wall mounted tv when not in use.

In 2018, almost 90% of the TV manufactured are Smart. Some have Android some have in-built OS to handle smart. But let's be honest, how many of you use the smart feature often. To cut story short, I had purchased Samsung non-smart tv back in the days when smart tv were just blooming and super expensive. But I always needed to have my movies streamed on big screen or even watch Youtube. Enter Chromecast, the best thing to turn your non-smart tv to smart for a mere $25 bucks. Faster than conventional smart tv, easy to setup. Never been much happier.

This is so much fun to use. So versatile. Can't imagine not having one now. Stream music, movies, TV, etc. to the HDTV. Easy set up and easy to use. Plus it's a bonus if you use the Chrome internet browser on your computer... can beam any webpage too w/ the Chrome add-on.

My old TV is still kicking, but I was a little bummed I couldn't stream stuff from the internet, specifically from the Play store. Bought the Chromecast to solve that issue & was very pleased. Easy setup, easy to use, very cool device. Thanks Google!

I love using my chromecast to cast from the comfort of my couch with ease. It's a great device, but it's not without it's flaws. A lot of times it won't pause and play as intended. I'll have to exit out of the app and start again. This isn't such a huge deal but can be quite aggravating sometimes. It works with most streaming services but some apps don't support it so be sure to double check before you purchase it! Amazon prime and Xfinity tv come to mind. Overall I love my little device as it makes life a lot easier! I'd recommenced to anyone looking for a cheap all in one streaming solution!

Seriously, only good things to say about Chromecast. Great product. Had old one. Basically same, only faster. Get one. So many elaborate reviews already, what can I say.

This is a great product. very easy to set up and use of a definitely recommend it to other people. Gives u alot of control to use your tv and keep up with so many things. Play music her weather and your schedule by just asking it a question. Love it
