Money Saver and great device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I was debating between a Roku or a Fire Stick for my basement TV so i could watch music videos while enjoying my cardio in the basement. I knew about the Cast but was hesitant at first since i didn't know how well it would connect to my network without having a router or an extender close by. It worked!!! This has been a great addition to my old TV, not only can i cast directly from streaming apps on my phone but i can also watch my own files.

Excellent, but only one reason to upgrade

I knew that there was only one real difference (other than the design), and that was the addition of the 5GHz WiFi support, something which I don't yet have access to in my apartment. Still works great, and if you don't have one, I definitely recommend it, but if you're only looking to upgrade your old one, there's no real need for that.
