Does what it claims
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Good: WiFi connection, low power, hidden from sight, allows screen mirroring from Android devices. Bad: Does not "do" anything itself. The remote (and initial connection) is your phone/Chrome browser. The Chromecast has it's place. It is not intended to do what something like a Roku does, so it's unfair to directly compare. That said, Roku has installable apps, and will soon have screen mirroring, according to their site.

I particularly got this one to cast my screen onto my TV using a chrome extension. Works perfectly. You can watch movies or videos not supported by chromecast in this way. The sound plays from the tv and everything works great! The only thing you can't do is cast your whole screen, but just a particular tab. Otherwise, its a great device to have.

Best $30 I've ever spent!

I rely on Netflix for my TV/Movie viewing needs, but was looking for something more reliable than the out-dated Wii I had been using. We walked in to our local Best Buy, asked a couple of questions, which were answered very courteously, and walked out 10 minutes later. My son hooked it up & I couldn't be happier & have recommended it to everyone who comes over!
