    Much easier than connecting cables to watch from laptop or phone. Setup was easy. Just wish it would cast Windows programs too.

    I have a router that has 2.4GHz and 5GHz bands and put all my devices on the 5GHz band because of the speed improvement over 2.4. The old Chromecast was only 2.4GHz so it became useless to me. The new Chromecast also supports Dolby Digital+ decoding which is a nice bonus. Faster wifi and Dolby Digital+ were worth the upgrade over the old one for me. The Chromecast does a lot for $35. Definitely recommend it.
