    I personally am a techie. I have the custom gaming PC running as a media server, Xbox ones, smart TVs, home theater, etc. This device was still needed in my ecosystem for two reasons, the first being that I needed a way to extend my media from the server to the bedroom TVs. The second reason being I love all things Google and this low cost device is just further proof of their expertise.

    It was a nice bang for the bucks. A great way for my folks to watch youtube on our flat screen tv. It made it easier to watch

    Purchased the Chromecast after being told by the sales associate that I could access Amazon Prime, once I got home I found this wasn't true. If it is, I wasn't able to figure out how. Even if I had been able to, I'm glad that I made the exchange, the Fire Stick is a far better product, I my opinion. Much easier to set up, and super user friendly. The Fire Stick also comes with a remote, which is a nice addition.

    No need to subscribe to cable. We only watch mostly You Tube with very little antenna TV. Drastically reduces expenses.
