have this set up with the tv in my living room and i must say it is a great device to have especially when i have guest over and they wanna show me a cool youtube video they saw earlier. only problem i had, was trying to connect it to a different wifi network, it just wouldnt work even when i tried to factory reset it

IT DOES WHAT I WANT IT TO DO, I CAN SEE ALL MY YOUTUBE VIDEOS ON MY TV NOW.

Simple to install and no need for multiple cables.

It's ok for what it does, but I'd rather spend a little more for the Apple TV.

It's worth the money and easy to install. You'll want to put one on every tv.

Going on 4 years and I use it every day. Works great.

I bought this because I fell for the commercials. You know, where you're looking at a video on your phone or tablet, press the button and viola, it's on your screen... yeah.... not exactly. First, if it's not a google chrome app it won't work. For example, I wanted to watch a movie on my epix app. Nope. How about a home video? Nope. Screen mirroring? Nope. If it's not a chrome app forget it. And if it is a chrome app, it takes some time to make the leap from your small screen to the big one. Boo! Returned and got the Roku. Still can't mirror, but waaaaaaaay more apps.

I purchased Chromecast for an older flat screen TV that was not connected to cable. Before purchasing the Chromecast the TV's only use was for DVDs/game systems. Chromecast allowed me to greatly expand the functionality of this TV (with Netflix, HBO, etc) for a one time cost and without having to run additional cable.

Concept is great and works really well most of the time. Every once in a while though it has trouble "casting" something, and I'm not sure why. The key thing I've found is to be patient with it--sometimes it takes a few minutes to cast (it may be my internet speed?). All in all, really happy with it though--4.5 stars.

Well I was disappointed with the outcome; I assumed it was just as easy as ROKU

I love being able to connect my phone to the chrome cast and stream on tv.

Bought it to stream videos from the phone to the tv and it is was flawless!

works great with my samsung galaxy 5 phone and galaxy 4 tablet. no problem

I knew going into this product there was going to be limitations but I found the apps it did support would intermittently freeze or become difficult to refresh unless I used my chrome browser to stop the casting feature. There should be better integration and the app support should offer better options for streaming. Cost was great but I think Id prefer a Roku device for use with Netflix or other Video streaming services

It is very easy to use. You can take it everywhere.

I think part of my problem with the Chromecast is my internet connection, but I'm enjoying being able to watch HBO Go on my 40" TV instead of my iPad, when it works. I wish more services like Amazon Prime Instant Video were supported, because I'm not a Netflix subscriber right now so that's the other place I stream from.
