Great for a non cable room.

This device allows you to watch many programs on TV and other avenues such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Showtime. While you can do some streaming from the cable it does not allow full access. This does not suffice for cable but it is a great gadget. Does not work with Itunes.

Great Device

The only things that other devices have over chromecast is the amount of services offered. But since google recently released it's API's and SDK's for chromecast for all developers, this should change very quickly. There is so much that can be done with this system/setup that just hasn't been done yet.

Nice Alternative to RoKu

Of course resolution and screen latency was not great but was more likely a problem associated with server being overloaded on the other end. For the cost was nice to have in a pinch. Will continue to use my RokU XT and Roku 3 for my streaming.

Great streaming player

Especially with the new update. His favorite feature is where he can mirror his androids phone display to the tv. I also bought so I can use it to since it's in the living room. I love that I can watch YouTube on the big screen now! Overall my purchase was fantastic! Me and my dad both love chromecast!

Does what it's supposed to

Otherwise you're out of luck for now. Hopefully other applications like HBO Go will follow along soon. I think some less "official" apps are out there to stream just about anything from your phone or computer to Chromecast, but I haven't tried them yet.
