Great for a non cable room.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. My living room does not have a cable outlet. This device allows you to watch many programs on TV and other avenues such as Netflix, Hulu, HBO Go, Showtime. While you can do some streaming from the cable it does not allow full access. This does not suffice for cable but it is a great gadget. Does not work with Itunes.

Great Device
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. This is a great device! I would recommend this over roku or apple tv any day. The only things that other devices have over chromecast is the amount of services offered. But since google recently released it's API's and SDK's for chromecast for all developers, this should change very quickly. There is so much that can be done with this system/setup that just hasn't been done yet.

Nice Alternative to RoKu
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I liked this it allowed me to watch some of the NCAA tourney games on my TV. Of course resolution and screen latency was not great but was more likely a problem associated with server being overloaded on the other end. For the cost was nice to have in a pinch. Will continue to use my RokU XT and Roku 3 for my streaming.

Does what it's supposed to
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Chromecast works great, if you happen to be using Google play or Netflix. Otherwise you're out of luck for now. Hopefully other applications like HBO Go will follow along soon. I think some less "official" apps are out there to stream just about anything from your phone or computer to Chromecast, but I haven't tried them yet.

Great streaming player
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I bought a chrome cast for my dad on Father's Day. He enjoys it very much. Especially with the new update. His favorite feature is where he can mirror his androids phone display to the tv. I also bought so I can use it to since it's in the living room. I love that I can watch YouTube on the big screen now! Overall my purchase was fantastic! Me and my dad both love chromecast!

Great little toy to play with
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Great streaming in full hd, love the way it streams automatically from you tube and i dont have to keep my laptop connected to a hdmi and running. Also much faster than Roku2. Would like to see it bring in more apps and improve the support for google chrome browser and streaming from browser isnt so smooth as from you tube. Hopefully like all google products more updates are to come
