Affordable way to watch TV shows
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Using the Google Chromecast device has made it possible to cast shows from a device to your television without having to pay high cable or satellite bills. Reception is good, and if you have a wireless system in your home, this prevents you from using your monthly data from your device.

You get what you pay for.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review. You get what you pay for. It's not expensive and it won't take much room at all if your traveling with it. Only bad thing is that you can pretty much watch you tube Netflix and that's about it. If you have any other streaming programs they won't work.

Great device at a great price. Could use more apps
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.I'm a huge Apple fan, but I don't have an additional $100 to shell out to Apple for Apple TV after buying my iPhone 6 plus. The ChromeCast is a great way to to view iPhone content on your TV. Just being able to watch my MLB At Bat baseball games on my TV while freeing up my phone for other things is great.

Wireless HDMI is good.
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Love the wireless HDMI but streaming is not smooth when using 760 pi, so I use resolution of 480 pixels. Sometimes laptop becomes little sluggish when chromecasting. Youtube runs really great on HD. Overall chromecast is nice gadget to have.

Totally Worth It
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Cut the cord when we moved to LA from NYC, and couldn't be happier with our Chromecast. Not only can we easily stream Netflix and Hulu Plus from our phones and iPad, but the Chrome browser allows us to "cast" things we wouldn't otherwise be able to (e.g. our cable company's online video service, which is done in Flash.) No problems at all, and it plays beautifully.

Not convinced this device is for me
||Posted .This reviewer received promo considerations or sweepstakes entry for writing a review.Initially I was excited about this - but after using it for a while, realized this product is not stable yet. Encountered many issues in streaming videos. 1. All of a sudden the video links gets broken 2. Too much memory eaten on my laptop to stream movies - I could have easily connect with direct HDMI connection 3. The device require to be close to the router, else you'll have streaming issues Overall not convinced with this way of streaming videos to a larger screen - not a great experience or easy to use. Especially full screen doesn't work well. On full screen, I can't use my laptop for anything else - this is really very very bad - considering dedicating the laptop use just for stream video on another screen. Not worth the money - unless you really want to search and stream content. I can use my apps on my TV, XBox or Bluray player for it.
