Cut the cord when we moved to LA from NYC, and couldn't be happier with our Chromecast. Not only can we easily stream Netflix and Hulu Plus from our phones and iPad, but the Chrome browser allows us to "cast" things we wouldn't otherwise be able to (e.g. our cable company's online video service, which is done in Flash.) No problems at all, and it plays beautifully.

Initially I was excited about this - but after using it for a while, realized this product is not stable yet. Encountered many issues in streaming videos. 1. All of a sudden the video links gets broken 2. Too much memory eaten on my laptop to stream movies - I could have easily connect with direct HDMI connection 3. The device require to be close to the router, else you'll have streaming issues Overall not convinced with this way of streaming videos to a larger screen - not a great experience or easy to use. Especially full screen doesn't work well. On full screen, I can't use my laptop for anything else - this is really very very bad - considering dedicating the laptop use just for stream video on another screen. Not worth the money - unless you really want to search and stream content. I can use my apps on my TV, XBox or Bluray player for it.

A great alternative for someone on a budget inand easy and fast to use.

This is a super-cheap device that is super-easy to set up, and allows you to send whatever you're viewing on any device using the Chrome browser directly to your HDTV. Other compatible apps include YouTube, Netflix, Hulu, and HBO Go. Other devices might have more compatibility or selection, but they won't be as cheap as the Chromecast. It makes a great gift as well!

I enjoyed watching crunchyroll comics on my tv instead of my phone. I wish there were more apps that gave this option. Disappointed so few for such a great idea. Wish the pictures were easier to see too from phone. Good price for what it can do.

Hard to get connected to my work network, had to go with the Apple TV :/

Great for watching Netflix. I no longer have to move my PS3 around.

I can get this to work sometimes. Luckily I don't need it all the time.

This has one use case. If you like to stream your browser to your TV. Neither the Apple TV or the Roku can do this. If this feature is worth $35 to you then this is your purchase. Otherwise save your money and purchase a full feature video streamer.

I don't have cable, dish, etc.. This makes watching tv cheap and easy!
