I bought this for the family based on a recommendation from a coworker. My son has primarily used it and is happy with it. There were several updates when first installed, but he has been happy with the quality. The negative was the related apps.

I bought this product for my parents. They have a PC with Windows 7. It was a bit tricky to set up. I had to use my computer (MacBook) to set it up. The directions about "changing" the connection to the Chromecast network should be a bit clearer.

These are easy to setup and very easy to use. We purchased them mainly to stream Netflix and Hulu Plus and we are not disappointed! The only downfall (for now anyways) is the low number of compatible apps with these; but if what you need is compatible with this, I would definitely get it!

Haven't had any issues, and it works great. Love being able to use it to watch video from my computer without having to worry about moving my computer to range of HDMI cable. The only issue I had was latency streaming from my tablet to the chromecast with Directv Sunday Football Ticket.

I bought this product so that I could watch TV series uninterrupted at my convenience. The product did not disappoint. The only negative is the fact that you have to go through the whole process of re-syncing when you change WiFi connections.

We have begun to learn how to use this. It tends to be finicky and will sometimes freeze the device we are using. We want to make sure it isn't our internet connection, but even when we have a great connection it hasn't had the best performance.

I wanted a cheaper option to buying a smart tv. I thought this was perfect (right away) I could use it in multiple rooms as well. Once I started using it though it was SO NOT user friendly. This cast button has to appear to work. I could be watching netflix for two hours and then the cast button would disappear and wouldn't show up for days. Every time I googled how to fix the problem it talked about servers, ip addresses and a bunch of other gibberish! I took it back and spent the extra $150 on a smart tv, and it was worth it.

love Love LOVE this. I don't know how I ever lived without it. Yes, you can connect your device via a wired connection, but why when ChromeCast is available? For not much more than an HDMI cable, you can wirelessly cast your video and be done with it. Seriously, why don't you have one yet?

I've experienced little glitches in it , it lags and sometimes it doesn't get read by my phone or iPad. Little things that just take a while to fix from my iPad. But for 35$ it's a great buy

I am using this device from past one month, i have seen alot of connection problems and eventhough device is connected to the network and ready for casting its not visible in mobile apps

I just expected the google chromecast to more. I expected it to be more on the lines with Apple TV with built in apps and things. But considering it's so cheap I guess you get what you pay for. I have recommended it to family and friends.

It works great .... I have a Roku on one TV and pretty close to my Router I have the Chromecast attached to another TV. It adds a lot of flexibility to our viewing habits. The only thing is that that I didn't realize that I am not able to watch Amazon.instant video which I can on the Roku.

Bought one to investigate products functionality and ended up buying a second one. One of the most innovative products by Google thus far. Turns my normal television into a semi-smart t.v. all by using my phone as a remote. Friggin awesome! Now I don't have to wear my XBOX out just to stream.

Good product. does what I need it to and is user friendly. Would be a great gift for people who are not tech. savvy. No remote so download the chrome apps and its easy does it from their.

I was between buying the Apple TV or Chromecast and for the price I definitely made the right choice by buying Chromecast. It is very easy to install and more apps now have the option for it. I also like that you can "mirror" from your computer, phone, or tablet. Overall, it is great.

Showing pictures from my pc on to my tv was great. When family or friends visited, this was another way to use the media player. I know that I am still learning more ways to use it, but so far, I can't say anything but good about this device.

For those who want to watch You tube and Netflix type apps on their TV, this is a great product. My teenage daughters use their Chromecast more than watching regular TV. Fantastic !

Chromecast is a good start for playing youtube videos and google play video content on your tv but more app support would be great. the ability to cast from the mobile chrome browser instead of just on the computer would really make this awesome

This is more than just a casting device as it allow the user to access their application while casting due to it's ability to cast over the cloud instead of mirroring on to your tv set. The best part is it's affordability. More apps will be developed to support chromecast in the near future.

Product works great for the apps it advertises (Netflix, YouTube and anything Google). They are upfront about the fact that it does not work for other apps such as iTunes or the streaming video from cable providers like Xfinity ... wish it did.
