1st gen model so it tends to freeze. 2nd gen model I hear is better. 2 gen. model came out 2 weeks after I bought !st gen model. It works intermittently. Just okay.

I bought this because I'd heard it provided a good way to access streaming tv shows and at a great price. Granted, it's cheap...less than $30 on sale...but for your money the most you get is access to YouTube videos, Netflix and access to music - all of which have other devices that provide access to these with way more value. There are way too many other options out there that provide more services / options than this... It does not provide access to news or to Amazon Prime... This is a waste...and cumbersome to use... Save your money....

Bought it to connect anything we watch on our Smartphones to our TV. Because of chromecast we were able to buy a basic HD TV (also from Best Buy) and have some of the benefits of a WiFi TV. We stream Pandora and Hulu instead of paying high prices of cable services.

Well if you would ask me this question before couple of months ago, I would say this is waste of 30-40$. The device was very limited and worked kind of lousy but not long ago it was opened up for open developers and since then it is nice device especially for the price it costs.

Good device that does what it says it will. Make sure you have a good wireless signal nearby though, I had a few issues since my TV is near the edge of my WiFi coverage, but was able to fix by relocating my access point a little closer.

I know it's still developing and i cant wait to see more apps. So 3 stars for now until they add more stuff. I've had this for 3 mos now and no updates yet. Better speed up this process.

Overall great value for the price. I have PS3 so there is already an app for youtube and netflix I can watch from. I can see this product useful while traveling. I think this is the first beta google wanted to roll out to get into the game.

It's great "for now", meaning that browsers and several mobile device apps support it. The device still doesn't have the ultimate range of broadcasting, but software upgrades within apps are coming out all the time. Excellent option if you have a TV but have no cable or whatever.

Google ChromeCast is the perfect goto device for portable internet to almost any television. The signal is great and it is uber easy to install. The fact I can control the ChromeCast with my smart phone is perfect. It allows me to mess with my daughter's TV when she is watching. lol

This device is great for those that use netflix and dont have a device to watch it with on television but I personally wish it offered more of a screen mirror for any system you using not the 7 or 8 allowable apps that are compatible.

If this isn't plugged directly into the wall and/or right beside you're router it's really slow. I would only really recommend this to people without a game console or smart tv.

For our purposes of getting Netflix to two TVs without wireless capability in the house this is perfect. It has a low price point and can be run off smart phones for added convenience. The smart phone can serve as a remote to start, pause, and stop movies on Netflix. Good investment.

LOVE the function of this but I have had problems with two different internet connections with it pausing to load for extended periods of time. I don't know if it is a buffering issue with Hulu and Netflix or if it is the ChromeCast.

I am very satisfied with the chromecast. Great getting movies from computer onto my TV. I purchased another one for my NC home, and purchased one for my sister's home. Evidence i am extremely happy with this product.

For youtube,Netflix, Hulu are the best and awesome comfortable but like if you Wanna watch the browser like certain channels/ live events it's not played properly and rest is awesome

Nice piece of equipment for wireless streaming from a smart phone to your television. We used this for an outdoor party and it worked well. The amount of apps available online allowed us to have more content than we would even need.

Generally, this is really one of the great products that Google has designed. Even though it's not so powerful like Apple TV, but it's really worth for $35. And if there are more applications support this chrome cast, then it's perfect!

I have enjoyed noodling with my chrome cast. It has worked well for YouTube videos with my phone and laptop. It has hicupped at times with Netflix but not badly. Good price too!

It's super simple to use, and serves its purpose. The only issue I have with it is that when casting YouTube the picture is very pixely (sp?) I have not used it for any other apps so I not sure if that is an issue all the way around.

Works really well. Flawless with the advertised applications. Very easy to install. The only negative is when I try watching video from a website on chrome, the video lags sometimes.
