It is perfect, with just one drawback.....if they could just add the 'Direct Screen Sharing' from any laptop (not via chrome and only what chrome sees) that would be the final piece in making this dominate the market completely.

I love using the Chromecast, especially for streaming Youtube. The only thing i've noticed is that it seems to get pretty warm when plugged in, even when the TV is off and it is not in use. I can't wait for a fuller selection of apps

I got this so I could stream to my TV that didn't have built in wi-fi/bluetooth so I could stream movies etc to my second TV. Not only can one do Netflix etc, one can do any video such as a TV show on a network's site.

This product works well with broadcasting Chrome webpages from a laptop, even pages running videos.

For $35 and the few apps that's available to cast I think it's worth it. Right now it's kind of a beta testing device. Just give he devs some time and Google to make more options available and I'm sure with updates it will get better.

My biggest gripe is that I have to stream off my phone or tablet. Which also means I cannot use the item while watching chrome. I have a Roku, Apple TV and now a Chromecast. I use the Chromecast the least... if ever actually.

My job has me on the road staying in motels, Chromecast is a great idea to watch what I want, when I want, only drawback was I couldn't use motels wifi, lucky I have a hot spot set up on my phone, and that worked great for me.

I purchased this to use with the second fastest AT&T Internet service. For some reason it streamed so poorly that the movie on Netflix had to buffer every five minutes. The third time it did it it froze up. who needs that?

Chrome is the best as it has the what we all look for smooth operation. I have been with Chrome for many years after trying other that have faded away. The overview spells it all out, and the rest is up to you!

Did not work in my basement at all which was so frustrating. Every app you want to use has to be installed and used on your phone instead of a remote that you would get with a roku. Overall just very slow and not worth $35.

This thing is basically just plug and play. Easy enough to configure but there's not a lot of third party applications for it, though.

I bought this to be able to watch training videos from a website on my big tv so I didn't have to stare at my small 15 in laptop. It doesn't work very well at all for that. 1st you have to use google's browser chrome to even see a webpage, 2nd it is so slow the audio is always a head of video and it freezes and is choppy. I understand the internet connection has some to do with that but in testing my internet speed I have one of the fastest possible with CenturyLink so not sure what else I could do to speed it up. Great idea, I just wanted something to wirelessly turn my tv into a computer monitor basically and this isn't quite there yet.

I bought it for my Bedroom ,after one day I changed my mind because I need another device such as laptop or phone to stream .I prefer other model that they have their own remote and they are independent from other device.

This is an excellent way to show video's on a big screen so everyone can see it. Great for parties, reunions or events. It would be better if you could show your own video's as opposed to being limited to youtube.

I have both apple TV, roku and this amazing google chromecast, after weeks of experience I finally decided to get rid of roku and apple TV because this one totally meets my needs and it streams well. The best part is you can plug USB on TV instead of using another charger.

Google Chromecast is a fantastic add on device for your digital home network! Watch all of your favorite movies, and shows. Use netflix, vudu, pandora, and even videos that are directly downloaded to your android devices. Recommended app on the android market LocalCast!

I wish it could do more things. Connect with other phones besides android easily. I think the speed watching movies is slower through Comcast but I am sure they will improve later. Overall a nice feature. Cheaper than apple t.v.

It's very easy to use and it works great. The only downfall that I've found, is that I have to occasionally reboot my router for it to stream from one of my devices. Hopefully a firmware upgrade in the future will resolve this.

The mirroring aspect of it is still in Beta and could use some updating. Great idea, just doesnt seem to be stable and capable of maintaining a steady stream. Even on low quality, the streaming capabilities are lackluster.
